I want to know more about the subdirectories because if i add subdirectories in webmasters then it will give me the same Verification code & in subdomain the verification code is new or different. So in case of subdirectories if the verification code is same then Geo Location will works or not? And how it works?

The issue remains as to how to target one URL to multiple countries. Sometimes there's isn't a need to divide a site in localized versions, but the site does apply to more than one country.

very usefull! I just did that with one of my sites which had english content but didn't know how to lift the region restriction of the main site only for that content so it can be found from other country/regions also.

Aren't subdomains treated as completely different sites? Google wouldn't use the rep of blah.com to rank uk.blah.com, right?

I believe the suggested solution is only an option with Google. So how do you do it in a general way?
