  • Oh how I miss him so much.

Check out the Raffi tribute song.

  • Excellent tribute, thanks so much for posting! The drinking game (1:54) and the pot cookies (2:32) were my faves. Hope he's doing both up in heaven, or why call it heaven? ;-)

  • Jack, Nathan, will always be on your side.

  • R I P WE LOVE YOU,

  • RIP Jack - you will be missed terribly.

  • great video!

  • See, that I can respect, a man who can laugh at himself.

  • @b3gregjockca Again! terrible trolling give up already

  • @b3gregjockca you're a terrible troll...you need lessons on trolling haha

  • RIP Jack Layton:'( he was the best politician in Canada funny and positive thinker.

  • @b3gregjockca I stood up to you because you're a miserable son of a bitch along with that other person who was trying to be all big and boss people around. The fact you're still just throwing insults like crazy and expecting me to do exactly what you want is just proving my point.

  • Help us on our quest to never let the flame that Jack lit so brightly every fade. Join us on Facebook. Search for JACK LAYTON ETERNAL FLAME.

  • @b3gregjockca As a homosexual your opinions may not be the same as the other 98% of normal Canadians . ( Canadian Government gat by the numbers )

  • Just one thing. Would gregockca and mbabcock please just shut up and let us try to pay tribute to the fact that Layton died from a horrible disease before his time. And whether you agree with his policies, voted for him, felt that he was an approachable real human being who wasn't afraid to laugh at himself and politics or not, nobody deserves to go through the struggle that he, his family, and countless others around the world have had to go through. Politician or not.

  • @b3gregjockca sponge is harper you dumb ass....wow guess that was a little too complicated for you to understand

  • @b3gregjockca OH MY GOD! YOU CAN SPELL! WHO KNEW!

  • @b3gregjockca then you must be ignorant...go vote for sponge bob square pants some more you knob

  • I am African American and I live in New York, however I followed Jack Layton's campaign this past year and I have to say he really impressed and inspired me! I love Canada and Mr. Layton really, really loved Canada and wanted to do his best for Canadians. I am saddened by his passing. May God Bless his family and may he rest in peace. Thank you.

  • I remember not long ago when everyone was crucifying him for a massage he got in the 80's.... not sure why he would run knowing he would have to hand Canada over to someone else, but hey, what a nice guy !

  • b3gregjockca when I say you are ignorant, I mean it in the truest sense. Ignorace: The lack of knowledge, information, or education; the state of being ignorant. I would be advise you to be cautious of about giving people a piece of your mind. I don't think you can spare it.

  • -- From previous encounter with Mr.Layton, I can say that he was a really good guy, very down to Earth. I always admired his passion, and I can't believe we lost him at such a young age.

    Canada lost a great politician.

  • The ladies down at the Lucky Happy Star massage parlor are going to miss their moustache rides!

  • @damedoodie Yes I'm sure you have a squeaky-clean past too.

  • Rest in Peace Jack we'll all miss you May god be with you :D..

  • Jack Layton was without a doubt the best politician Canada has had in a long time. His character, patriotism, and optimistic spirit has inspired many including myself to not live everyday life in a selfish manner, but to strive to achieve a better Canada, one of equality, one with better environmental policies, one that does what is right and not just for financial gains.

Jack Layton's legacy will forever be remembered by my generation, he gave hope to a new generation. Thank you Jack Layton RIP

  • My parents have voted for Layton for years, but when the recall came for Harper, and I finally gave a shit about politics enough to have an firm opinion, my parents were so fed up that they just wanted the conservatives out, and they managed to convince my brothers and I to vote liberal, which they believed was the only way to be sure. I walk by Jack & Olivia's house all the time, and it's so crappy to know that he's gone. I feel guilty for wavering.

  • 2:10 - 2:30 shows how real he was...what other politician would be that down to earth and sit and have a beer with an interviewer on live tv...This man was genuine and thats rare in politics

  • Join us in our quest to have an eternal flame placed by Jack's graveside to represent the torch he so brightly lit will continue on in his name. Search facebook JACK LAYTON ETERNAL FLAME

  • he's the reason I kept voting

  • So sad to see this great man gone way too soon. We love you Jack RIP :(

  • that ditsy chick reporter was hot, I would have fucked her on live tv and screwed my political career

  • @b3gregjockca You are such a luserrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!! You should move to Georgetown along with the other simean relatives that you have and abide there. Make sure to take some hemlock along. Nice plants with attractive flowers so I am told. Plant them round-about. They make very tasty jam in the fall. Enjoy.

  • Jack Layton will be missed by many on both sides of the aisle. mkbabcock has the right of it. Keep up the good work Mikey. Hang in there and don't let the rabble dissuade you from your point of view. I should at least be able to get an invitation to barbecue wouldn't you think?

  • @b3gregjockca There is nothing practical about your behaviour or point of view. You are simply being argumentative and rude nothing more, nothing less. You are exhibiting adolescent, immature behaviour. Don't be confused.

  • @b3gregjockca And look who is suffering from an acute case of egoism... Why do you feel you need to insult all the time? Are you capable of having a discussion without the adolescent behaviour?

  • @b3gregjockca Wow. Are you ever immature. And by the way, your insults don't bother me in any way, shape or form because, as I read your comments, I understand you are simply exhibiting your ignorance. To those who may come upon this thread and witness your petulant behaviour, have pity and show patience. There is still hope that one day, he might grow up. It is sad though that you are filled with such negative emotions. I sure hope your childhood experiences didn't make you like this...

  • @b3gregjockca You consider your words to hold some kind of humour? There is nothing humorous about insulting a person. You are presenting yourself as a rude, mocking, person who hasn't grown out of their adolescent behaviour. How would you feel if someone you loved was treated in the manner in which you are acting? A reasonable person would understand but clearly I'm not dealing with a reasonable person at the other end... Grow up sonny.

  • @b3gregjockca Are you sure it doesn't exist? Can you provide the proof? I agree that direct representation is possible but the majority of Canadians do not have a good grasp at the myriad of complex issues we face in a modern society. That is why we have a representational model. a different way is possible but you don't have to be abhorrently insensitive towards others who are trying to work with what we have. Why don't you put together a private members bill for your ideas? Be productive.

  • @b3gregjockca You are clearly a peevish and rude person. I'm choosing not to engage you because you are displaying such immaturity.

  • LOL AT 2:42

  • love this guy RIP

  • too soon :(

  • @b3gregjockca How pitiful you are being. You should be ashamed of your behaviour. I am interested in your assertion to what you consider to be real democracy. Imbibe us with this knowledge if you will.

  • Unlike so many of our politicians, he had integrity, intelligence, commitment, compassion, vision and humour. His final letter was an amazing statement to all of us - "So let us be loving, hopeful and optimistic. And we’ll change the world."

  • @thecampbellcat This is quite the assertion. What is your proof that many of our politicians lack virtue, vision, and humour? Seems to me that this is quite the provocative opinion. It's like saying that all police are corrupt and all members of the Canadian military are cold blooded killers. Dig a little deeper and formulate a more realistic expression to your comments my fellow Canadian. Be careful of painting everyone with the same broad brush of life because you know its not true.

  • love you jack ! I and all the entier canada will miss uu !

  • Its pretty obvious that Layton's leadership role will be given to some female.

NDP is pretty much a woman's political party that promotes feminist interests.

After all, Canada is a feminized country where its all about the woman.

  • @TimeGod12 Why are you so angry with women? You know, everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and respect. Isn't that what you would expect from others?

  • @mbabcock111 So if u criticize ur son for failing grades, does that mean u r "angry" with him ?

What kind of stupid logic are u promoting ?

Respect and dignity is earned not given for free. Offcourse canadian chest thumping feminists would disagree as its hard for them to earn it.

  • Great video, however, the fact that Google Ads decided to pop-up a Tim Hudak Conservative Party ad on top of this makes me want to puke.

  • 0 people...oh wait nobody's disliked this yet.

    Rest in Peace Jack.

  • That was lovely - thank you for posting this. A fitting tribute to a good man who knew how to laugh at himself!

  • Quel bel homme, autant de l'extérieur que de l'intérieur. Il me manquera énormément. J'aurais tellement aimé le voir devenir premier ministre du Canada. Prends bien soin de nous tous, Jack!

  • Too bad I can only "Like" once.

  • my son loved him so much

  • He will be missed.

  • He was the first person I ever voted for :*(

  • Naughty Santa didn't bring him the good health he asked for. What a good way to remember Jack - a decent approachable guy who really cared about making this a better world.

  • RIP.

  • some great moments with Jack, he will be missed...

  • Legalize it!

    LOL I miss him already

  • Jack was a very human guy! A rare thing in government.

  • Glad to see he had a good sense of humor all those years when the NDP was not doing well, and he just stuck with it.

  • thanks for putting these together .... if we can't laugh at ourselves ...

"My friends, love is better than anger. Hope is better than fear. Optimism is better than despair. So let us be loving, hopeful and optimistic. And we’ll change the world."

  • a great sense of humour though.

  • A great man, a visionary. A gentleman. He will be missed! Rest Jack...

  • you weren't first.

  • A great man who wasn't afraid to laugh at himself. :)

  • first
