The first snakepit album is honestly amazing. You guys have to pick it up. Slash is totally hammered here though.. That's the sloppiest I've seen him play.. Whoahh
snakepit is hte best from slash, even (dont kill me for this) better than GNR, just 2 disc! 2! two! and .. well, is so complete!s perfect both styles!
Slash rocks. Nobody can compare to his style and emotion. Props to Slash. Seen him live with VR about 7 years ago in Detroit and he rocked the house. Slash is just awesome. One of the greatest.
Eric Dover is fuckin bad ass!!!! ....By far the best singer that slash has worked with. I dont know why he left but him and Slash need to work shit out and make some more kick ass music.
One of Slash's best solos ever. I just can't stop thinking what this song would have been if Axl was there, it would have been BIG, believe me, but i guess we'll never know, fuck me haha
I agree with you dude...actually, both Snake Pit CDs were really good! "Ain't Life Grand" was awesome! I saw them in concernt when they were supporting the AC/DC tour in 2000 and I was blown away! Of course, the crowd went nuts when they played "Mr. Brownstone," but the CD was still good.
sweet...is it just me, or does the riff of Mr. Brownstone seem a lot like Walk This Way?? i know Aerosmith influenced GNR a lot, but its pretty close 2 Walk This Way
well its sequenced its starts out with Slash borrowing Steven Adlers grandmas guitar, goes 2 slashs high school bands, covers everybody getting 2gether, so on & so on
Jesus, one not so good recording, do a little background first. Eric Dover is extremely talented, from his days as guitarist in Jellyfish to stepping in as a frontman in Snakepit. A phenominal singer in the style of Steven Tyler. An incredible musician from Frisco. F*****n great singer.
Why the thumbs down? Like that's a bad thing. He does sound a little like Rod Stewart. Rod Stewarts later stuff was a bit gay fair enough, but his older shit is awesome.
The Faces were brilliant.. And so is Eric Dover. :)
i am agree with haydenwce27 but the old GNR would be better. Or if you could put steven tayler or someone in. The old GNR without AXL with IZZY Stradlin singing and playing 2 guitar
i think that towards the end of the band GN'R was all about axl... i don't think they even thought about the rythem guitarist plying a solo i mean the only time gilby played solo with gnr was in tokyo for 40 secs... axl had to sing in any given minuet and the band broke up because of his ego
Yah i know.. I also written that this was my favorite song by slash's snakepit. I just said that the my michelle is better and civil war as good as this.
yeah the singer sounds exactly the same as in the studio, he has incredible range, i love velvet revolver but scott weilands voice is getting wrecked from his addiction, and doesnt sound quite the same live anymore, but i still love them
yeah, i agree. i love velvet revlover too, and scott's a gd singer, but does not cut it with velvet revolver in my opinion. and no offence (and i'll probably get some shit for this) acts like a gay on stage
i agree, its five oclock somewhere is definitely one of the most solid alums ive ever heard, and velvet revolver just hasnt made an album near standing up to it
its sad that lots of these SP songs would have been GNR songs if Axl hadnt been a butt. They are such great songs, and just got no attention because they were 'just a side project'. I like how Slash talks more in between songs with SP, and the singer is having fun, which makes the whole show more fun to watch I think.
