The 2nd Commando Regiment of the Australian Regular Army has been training with these guys for the last few years. The 75th Rangers seem like level headed guys. Kind regards from down under.
@vaper1986 You are possibly even more essential and important than they are. They can't go without working equipment. It might not sound as cool, but it deserves our respect nonetheless.
This is amazing that they were able to find two Officers without any trace of a personality to interview. That is almost unheard of especially with Regiment; we are a colorful group of characters.
They did seem to be a little dry...but they are straight up killas for the USA!!! The Rangers I trained with at Bragg...All I can say is that it was fun and crazy...we got in trouble with the cadre...but hey...backin my day...Crazy was good!!!
I love how the guy at the end acts like you can just call them and they will be like "Hey yea come on in everyone can be a Ranger" But no hes forgetting Airborne School, Ranger Indoctrination, and if you want to move up into a leadership position whereyou command Rangers you have to go through Ranger School.
The Battalions still use cooks, clerks and maintainers to keep everything happening and running right. These guys need to be at the top of their game in their MOSs, and willing to go the extra mile, but they don't need to go thru all the training required of the 11 series.
sxetk421sxe. That doesn't make any sense. You must not be in yet. If you were under the ranger contract you'd be going to georgia first thing. A 62 is pretty good on the asvab, you dont even need that good of a score to be a Ranger. I didn't do the Ranger contract, would of been nice though. I couldn't because of my waiver. Either way you can still be one just usually takes a little bit longer.
Hey sXeTK421sXe. The same thing happened to my friend. I heard there was a lot of Ranger Candidates, so some will have to wait for their chance to become a Ranger. But don't worry, you'll get the chance.
I have done my ASVAB, scored a 62 and qualified for my selected MOS of 21B Did my phyisical and qualified for Airborne taining for my Ranger contract. And fucking 10 months later..... the Army still hasn't let me sign in and go to Ft. Benning like I was suppose to do in Febuary

Are Rangers apart of the Airborne?
AC130EMPYREAL 1 year ago
No. The 75th Ranger Regiment is a SOF unit under the US Army Special Operations Command (which it self is part of USSOCOM).
