one hit wonder seems to have a derogatory meaning here when it shouldn't. just because a band or singer produced one piece that made it to the top of the charts, does not mean they are unsuccesful or a failure. it just means they got lucky. many bands are succesful with large followings and critical acclaim without ever making a "hit".

It was many songs I've never heard about here :s I think you've forgotten some really knowed one hit wonders like; "Im Blue - Eiffel 65", "Mambo #5 - Lou Bega", "What Is Love? - Haddaway", "Puttin' On The Ritz - Taco" and "Never Gonna' Give You Up - Rick Astley" .. :)
