The voice, the words, totally reminds a people of Abraham Lincoln. This definitely should have been in the movie. It fits the Character of Optimus perfectly.

"Etymologically a privilege means a "private law", or rule relating to a specific individual." Sounds to me like this particular Prime is confused and self-contradicting.

I can see why a fan of the established series might not appreciate the flames on Optimus, but they kind of make sense to me.
Some of those big rigs out there have pretty elaborate paint jobs. I live in Reno, and I've seen a lot of them when I take I-80 to visit my parents back home in Yerington.
Transformers are "Robots in Disguise", right? A flamed paint job might be flashy, but if so many trucks are already like that, wouldn't it make sense to follow suit and blend in?
@TBustah Perhaps, but there are so many other trucks that are just plain coloured, and those flames are far too unique. They really would belong only on one truck. They also really do distract it from Optimus Prime (besides some of his unusual dialogue such as "My Bad" "Give me your face" etc.) Let's face it; if it wasn't for Peter Cullen and the fact that it was a truck of any kind; it really would have been Rodimus Prime.
the flames were meant to contrast against the red because apparently red is a nightmare to light. why do you think ironhide was not red and sideswipe wasn't red either. and how did changing optimus design ruin transformers. thats pathetic. the character designs change in like every different transformers series. i respect g1 but the designs were terribly blocky and cheesy. so everybody stop bitching and complaining and grow the fuck up

There's a perfect cast in the latest series; Transformers: Prime. If you haven't seen it, go check it out. It's along the lines of how the movie should have been. Also: The original writers are in charge!

@SullyIsPrime ....... He was meant to be completely red. Flat nose or long nose, I can live with either but NEVER flames. That's not Optimus Prime, that's Rodimus Prime. Flames say passionate and intense. Optimus is humble, wise, compassionate and strong to say the least. Michael bay did not even try to see that. If it wasn't for Peter Cullen: It would have been an old robot trying to act young as Bay wanted and that's just ONE mistake! I'm sorry but Michael Bay was never meant to be a director.

Hey, yo should go see David Icke, he's in Aussie this year at some point, always enlightening to listen to. I don't agree with everything he say, but probably about 90%of it.
Yeah it's a nice speech and all but it's over 3 minutes long. There's no way in hell you would get this speech in a film directed by Michael bay without pissing movie goers off. There were parts taken from this speech that he used in the movie so don't be offended
@Aussieroth7 Hope the feedback helps. Otherwise, this is one of the more powerful pieces of serious voice acting I've seen on youtube. It doesn't sound quite as mechanical as Peter Cullen's Optimus, but it has all the right tone, command, and confidence of the G1 Prime.

I really wished they hand that in the movie. That was a great speech. Just as it seem like we should just give up and let the world be currupt and such, there always someone out there who will never believe or give-in, and fight in his or her own way to bring peace and just.
@Hwoarang8ify It's what made Optimus great ya know? He never forces himself in anyone's lives or tries to harm others... but he is always willing assist and rescue with no questions asked and without thought of reward............ Makes you wish this guy was the President of the US XD.
I have to say that this gave me goosebumps and flashbacks to my philosophical roots in so many things. When all else is wrong in the world, Optimus always served to ground my views to things that were most important in my life. If you ever want another voice to potentially add to the mix, look me up. I do a mean bass-profundo and many tell me I should be on radio. And while I might not go as far as that, I would be privileged to lend my voice to a character such as Optimus.

Great speech, if the movie started with an intro of the war in Cybertron, with the chaos happening, I see Optimus standing afar watching the chaos happen, and Megatron tackling down other autobots in a montage, as all hell breaks loose, we zoom out from Cybertron and pan to earth and perform a zoom out as the speech finishes the title transforms with a fast zoom taking us to earth.
Well this is o k not great your using old versions of prime quotes that cullen and ay both revamped for the new movie remember animating Prime talking costs a FORTUNE the in the face scene where you can see the audio wavelength as prime talks costs 10s of 1000s per second !!!

@legoindyshortround That's fine with me too. I don't care if Optimus is flat nosed or not, but no freaking flames. Also, I have to ask. With the exception of Peter Cullen, do you get the feeling that nearly all the other Transformers sound like they could have been voiced by the same person?
There's a perfect cast in the latest series; Transformers: Prime. If you haven't seen it, go check it out. It's along the lines of how the movie should have been. Also: The original writers are in charge!

Wow... Very cool, Aussieroth! ^_^ I'm not really familiar with how Optimus Prime is supposed to sound, but the voice you used for him was heavy and serious, adding a strong impact to the monologue. Made me interested in what he had to say. :) Very nice work!

@SullyIsPrime ....... He was meant to be completely red. Flat nose or long nose, I can live with either but NEVER flames. That's not Optimus Prime, that's Rodimus Prime. Flames say passionate and intense. Optimus is humble, wise, compassionate and strong to say the least. Michael bay did not even try to see that. If it wasn't for Peter Cullen: It would have been an old robot trying to act young as Bay wanted and that's just ONE mistake! I'm sorry but Michael Bay was never meant to be a director.

Kevin Michael Richardson as Bulkhead: Genius.
Steven Jay Blum as Starscream: Only he can give Scream a deep voice and make it work
Then Frank Welker returns as Megatron... with the rendition he wanted to give in the original series.

My only complaint is the music is a little too loud at parts. The voice needs to be boosted a little so it remains louder than the bgm.
It would also be great if there were a transcript of this speech somewhere.

@Aussieroth7 Hope the feedback helps. Otherwise, this is one of the more powerful pieces of serious voice acting I've seen on youtube. It doesn't sound quite as mechanical as Peter Cullen's Optimus, but it has all the right tone, command, and confidence of the G1 Prime.

I really wished they hand that in the movie. That was a great speech. Just as it seem like we should just give up and let the world be currupt and such, there always someone out there who will never believe or give-in, and fight in his or her own way to bring peace and just.

I have to say that this gave me goosebumps and flashbacks to my philosophical roots in so many things. When all else is wrong in the world, Optimus always served to ground my views to things that were most important in my life. If you ever want another voice to potentially add to the mix, look me up. I do a mean bass-profundo and many tell me I should be on radio. And while I might not go as far as that, I would be privileged to lend my voice to a character such as Optimus.

Great speech, if the movie started with an intro of the war in Cybertron, with the chaos happening, I see Optimus standing afar watching the chaos happen, and Megatron tackling down other autobots in a montage, as all hell breaks loose, we zoom out from Cybertron and pan to earth and perform a zoom out as the speech finishes the title transforms with a fast zoom taking us to earth.

Well this is o k not great your using old versions of prime quotes that cullen and ay both revamped for the new movie remember animating Prime talking costs a FORTUNE the in the face scene where you can see the audio wavelength as prime talks costs 10s of 1000s per second !!!
