I'm American but most of my ancestors come from Scotland. I know this because I have a genealogy chart that goes back to like the 1500s. About 90% are Scottish the other 10% is Welsh and Danish. The point is this if the UK ever got into trouble I would be there.

@falloutguy36 I just watched a documentary about Russian aviation and the Russian Knights who are their top pilots and airshow performers were talking about the US people and pilots and were very clear they never saw us as enemies, just that our politicians were enemies, never the people.

@tex11111 I disagree. You say the U.S. won't go to war without the UK. It's been my experience, we CAN'T go to war without the UK. If we try, the UK forces seem to feel offended. Heaven forbid the Canadians and Aussies don't play too. I only remember one deployment where I did not see all 4 at my base. And that was a deployment to the middle of nowhere in the Indian Ocean. We only had U.S. and Brits at the time. I think it's well understood if you mess with one, the other 3 will be there too.

While obviously we can bicker back and forth at he end of the day its still kind of like a fight with a sibling. When we stand TOGETHER we are the greatest military power alliance the world has ever seen. I'm American but most of my ancestors come from Scotland. I know this because I have a genealogy chart that goes back to like the 1500s. About 90% are Scottish the other 10% is Welsh and Danish. The point is this if the UK ever got into trouble I would be there.

Since you mention ww1-remember the US sold all weapons to all sides for three years. The US fielded between 50,000 and 125,000 troops in the entire war
GB lost 60,000 in a day. France lost 400,000 in one battle.
I also suggest that your statistic of 300,000 a month is coming from yet more propaganda via your film industry
