I love this!!!! It is so beautiful!!!!! The music and pictures bring back so many memories to me. I do believe the change is coming....soon. Peace and happiness to you my friend.
I loooooove indigenous peeps. much love n all my respect n blessings to you all. you are the best people ever . I'm white but was just adopted by an Apache family as one of their own cuz of my spirit. I feel honored and blessed. I too am very sorry for what my ancestors did. I am spanish and german. STAY STRONG. CHANGE IS COMING. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ I send you all the love in the world.
wow. thank you for uploading this... i've been looking for it for a while..My heritage is very controversial... I'm White, Native American (many different tribes)
& etc...i'm mainly White & Native american....hence my controversy. I have always had to listen to sayings that the native americans were savages & did many wrongs to the whites. But i have rarely heard a white person apologize for hurting the native americans. As i know my great-grandpa would want me to say.. thank you (wah-doe)
I too wish to beg for forgiveness for what my people did. I am completely English and because of that I have a lot of guilt on my shoulders. My country caused so much pain and I wish that I could change it. I realise that it was my ancestors and not me, but my blood still flows form theirs so therefore I share their guilt. It has been passed down form generation to generation. The one thing I have always hated most about my people, was what they did the the Natives. It truly breaks my heart.
(continued) ever wonder why your like 16% native american. thats why. its a shame to hear that these musams open up to say hey we have native american stuff. i have three types of native american from outer-tribe marreges(rare i know) and i went to D.C. they had....one.....blackfoot.....moccasin..... i was so dissapointed. oh and by the way if there are spelling failures im 13 and its 1 am so DX forgive? and yes im smart and i know alot about many issues.
reading all of this shows im not the only one who loves being native american! we are the foundation of america. cornbread? we made it. popcorn? we made it. turkey? we hunted it. oh and your cutsy little slip on shoes guess what! moccasin is the orriginal spelling. we made almost everything. ya'll just made it white and named it smaller words. thats not cool. we tried to help and the GREEDY white people just shoved us away and took our land and raped our women.
I would like to say "Ditto" to everything katinka0126 has expressed. I am also very sorry for everything our European ancestors have done to the indigenous peoples. I am also very sorry for the current and continuing attitudes of arrogance, denial, and the unwillingness of others to look at their own behaviors and the behaviors of their ancestors.
We need to know where we came from to know where we are goingor we will always be stuck repeating the same mistakes over and overWe need to evolve and looking at the past and atoning for the past wrongs are a few ways to start healing our nations all four racesRed White,Yellow and Black, I once went toa Sundance and all for races danced it was a very very powerful dance with all united can you imagine what we can accomplish united caring for each other and the land, for this I Pray. L.O.L. Mary.
Valen mas? No, es que hemos nos perdidos, nuestro lugar en la tierra, el respeto ,y eso tambiem depende del hombre...hay que honorar la mujer y ayudarnos reencontrarnos.Valemos iguales.
Hello, i don't know what yiok meens, sorry. The only thing i do know is that i wish i could do more for all the native american people because the things that happend to them, the things WE, my peolpe did to them is just horrible. I am so ashamed for it and i wish there was sometihing i could do to change this painful history. So this is my humble way of saying:...I'M SORRY...
I understand you and of course its not your fault, however the Sacred Spirit album producer in Holland did in fact steal and use a genuine traditional Sami yoik recording calling it is a native american craddle song, so in a way the story repeat itself, many native americans now believe this is a genuine native american craddle song when it is not, another broken promise?
Sorry, by the way "yoik" is the name for the traditional singing style of the Sami people, the native population of Scandinavia (Norway, Sweden, Finland and northwest Russia), their language is distanly related to Hungarian.
Yes, I know, I am hungarian too. I form part of the hungarian minority of romania. So in a way I can understand the situacion of the native american people, I know what it feels like to live in your own land but to be distrusted and be treated as a stranger or an enemy...And I think it really doesn't matter the origin of this song, it's beautiful and helps unite people from all over the world in one cause...and maybe will help open the ignorant people's eyes...
My heritage is of the cherokee tribe,I am black, people say all black people come from Africa, black people have been mixed with different races from coming to America, and that's why my ancestors are native american, alittle African, but mostly Native Americans. And I think for you to step out and say " WE!, my people did this", is a great apology, you said WE, meaning you not afraid to say ur people . You get my up most respect for that.
(1) Hy Keshia, thank you for your comment, it means a lot to me that people like you, people who can experience and live the native history, people that form part of the native comunity are apreciateing and understanding my thoughts, my respect for all your people. But most important of all...thank you for understanding how truly sorry i am and for all the damage, pain and horror that WE caused you...(2)...
(2)...You are wonderful people, you are kind, loving, forgiveing and noble and we should have a lot to learn from all of you. But we are superficial, ignorant and stupid! And WE prefer to turn our backs, look to the other way and act as WE were the best kind there is , pffff :PPP And you know what? WE ARE the best...in distroying things, cultures and in trying to eradicate those who do not ware the same skin colour that we do! ...(3)...
(3)...Who could forget the distruction of the glorious inca culture, the american genocide and the attempt to eradicate the native american people, the slavery, the holocaust, Hiroshima...Oh yes, WE are the best...in shamelesness! In showing the world how NOT to be and how NOT to act! In demonstrating what can happen when WE forget how love and how to smile and WE let us be driven by hate and greed...(4)...
(4)...It's a shame, i know...but this is how WE are. I just hope that someday, somehow WE will be able to find the way to forgive OURSELFES...'cos i know YOU already did...
@keshiameshia123 My son is also part cherokee :) They are the 1 tribe that could assimilate into the white culture easier than any other culture....Black or Red <3<3<3 you have my respect just for saying this very thing and being strong in what you believe and how you have been raised :) prayers and smoke to you dear one!!
So beautiful...and haunting.
