The pitbull at 1:55 is a APBT not a bully. A good rule of thumb is to realize that anything over about 75 pounds is considered a American bully even though most true APBT are no more than 65 pounds and can be as light weight as 30. One of the oldest true blood lines of APBT are the Colby family (thats the blood line my female is) she is 40lbs at 7 months they have on record full grown pitbulls her size. There is a huge difference between the american bully and the american pitbull terrier....

People could and have as easily used these dogs to bring down prey, protect and now use some as therapy dogs, search and rescue dogs, etc. But yes, any one who owns a dog should make sure the dog gets what it needs in exercise and stimulation. But dog fighting is not the answer, never was, never will be. It has only bad outcomes for these poor dogs.

The pitbull at 1:55 is a APBT not a bully. A good rule of thumb is to realize that anything over about 75 pounds is considered a American bully even though most true APBT are no more than 65 pounds and can be as light weight as 30. One of the oldest true blood lines of APBT are the Colby family (thats the blood line my female is) she is 40lbs at 7 months they have on record full grown pitbulls her size. There is a huge difference between the american bully and the american pitbull terrier....

People could and have as easily used these dogs to bring down prey, protect and now use some as therapy dogs, search and rescue dogs, etc. But yes, any one who owns a dog should make sure the dog gets what it needs in exercise and stimulation. But dog fighting is not the answer, never was, never will be. It has only bad outcomes for these poor dogs.

Jec933: Actually it is possible to "force" a dog to fight in the sense that you train him and condition him to be mean and vicious. given your experience in the "sport" of dogfighting, how can you not know this....? you should spend a couple of minutes with a pit bull puppy and see the way he looks at you...the natural instinct of a canine is to adore humans and protect them. pit bulls have a very strong protective instinct; they used to be "nanny dogs" for babies and toddlers.

Game Bred Pit Bulls are not like backyard, worthless pit bulls. They are BRED for combat, meaning their parents were game, their grandparents, etc. REAL Pit Dogs, not like what you see today.
