Wait, how do you have the plasma beam already? In order to get the plasma beam, you needed to already defeat Thardus because the plasma beam room is atop a fortress of spider ball paths. dis be cheatz.

Also, in my opinion, it's best to use the wave beam while fighting Thardus because it homes into Thardus's weak spot. Use the wave beam while simultaneously using the thermal vision.

It's been debatable. I prefer to collect everything simply because I am like that, but some people believe that you don't need Thermal Visor, even though you need it to fight Thardus, thinking about it, it's like fighting the Metroid Prime without Phazon Suit.

I never realized the gap inbetween Thardus and Phazon Elite was so small, it always seemed so long for me...

Also, I was disappointed that there wasn't a major boss in Magmoor Caverns, some sort of lava serpent would have been nice....

Well, a lot happens in between the two. I just mentioned the non reoccurring bosses, the Elite that is mentioned, is the artifact guardian.

where do u get the heat vision and grapple?

Umm. . . Thermal Visor you get in the Tallon IV Space Pirate Facility, In Phendara Drifts. You get Grapple Beam in the Phazon mines after you collect Power Bombs. I can make videos of getting them after Thanksgiving.
