It´s the first time I answer for a cover version. But this version is so warm and I hope, many user listen this version. I hope, you understand, my English is not so good. I tell this to my friends here in Germany.
I found this site quite some time ago. I just noticed your reference to a brother Tim Welsman so I can only conclude that I came onto this when I was doing a search on Welsman. I assume your great grandfather was Charles Welsman. My brother, his two sons, and my daughter are the last on George's side of the family with the surname.
Great music and a great video. I've been working on mandolin and octave mandolin for a couple years. The octave mandolin (capo on the 5th fret) works great on this piece. I haven't figured out the all the notes in this piece. Is there anywhere one could find the mandolin tab for it?
Brilliant cover. I love all the songs on this album. Even tried a few myself. Mine are not a patch on yours though, yours are masterfully done, mine are just "a go". You make me try harder!!
Amy, this is an incredible cover of song that seems simple, but is actually very intricate. Your charming arrangement makes it all your own. You are an amazing muscian and quite the director of film; the sites are alluring.
Wow, what a great ride :o) I always enjoy your instrumentation and performances, it is just my cup 'o tea. You got some gypsy in your soul I would venture... me too, but it is a bit muffled :o). -Ron
Wow, that was terrific Amy! You did a beautiful job on the music and vocals, amazing really! The video was wonderful too! Loved it all! ... FrAnK (★★★★★ & 'Fave')
When I was a small kid my older cousin listened to Jethro Tull. They were some of my earliest influences. And you sing and play just so enchanting, Amy!
Wow, wow, wow, did I say wow? All hail wellington County! Fergus, Salem, Alma, and the Elora Gorge. You've just helped quite a few folks along into a greater understanding of just how wondrous an area we live in. The tune was haunting, and you, enchanting as always.
Happy to hear/see a new vid from you Amy! I had never heard this song before but I really enjoyed it! It has a very celtic feel to it. I'll have to check out the original.
Amy,this is completely magical...a brilliant performance and video. I had forgotten about this song;or maybe you just made it memorable? I have spent so much time with Songs From The Wood that I had lost track of these Acres Wild. Brilliant! tom
@AntzTunez thanks Antz! I really love the entire SFTW/ HH period the best!
peace, my friend

are bands like this anonymous so YouTube will not have to pay royalties? Guess I am dumb. Guess SOMEONE is dumb..how can this
band get exposure if no one has info?
