It is wonderful! The top is full and passionately voluptuous reminds me of a mix between Freni and Fleming. There is success in this refined stayed emotive performance. I suppose if the lady sings this well for at least the next decade she will have a very notable career. How is her stage presence and Coloratura?
@TheWisemonkey8 I actually saw her twice (2 fridays in a row) in Tosca at the Met in February this year. Oddly enough the first performance was horrendous, but the second one (despite the fact the house manager announced that she had some throat issues) was amazing. I cried at Vissi d'arte and she got a standing ovation at the end! It was magical!!! Perfect stage presence and she (maybe due to throat issues) toned down the thrills and vibrato of her verdi voice. I say it, it was magical
This is from encores in this concert in Moscow. I don't know she has played Butterfly onstage; surely with more study her will get to realise a good interpretation. Musically is wonderful, but I agree, lack to interpret
Radvanovsky is undoubtedly a great musician, with a fine instrument. Her diction is flawless, but she does little with the text in matters of interpretation. Practically every soprano on record has performed this aria, but very few imbue it with the drama and complexity which Cio-Cio-San is experiencing at this point in the opera.
Extraordinaire!!!

Nicely sung but lacking in ecstatic exultation and passionate involvement.
