It's a veritable tidal wave of paperwork in banking, insurance, medicine, and energy production. Not to mention these companies having to meet next to impossible standards concerning their products.

The difference between this stimulus and the iraq war spenditure (almost equal in size) is that the stimulus consists of loans, and the warmoney is all spent. Only in the worst case scenario the taxpayer will have to pick up the full tab, profit on the loans is even possible. (but not likely)

I agree with Rush about the stimulus bill, although I don't want it to fail. However, the fact is that 30 years of trickle down conservative philosophy got us here. Anyone can look up the transfer of wealth to the top 10% over the last 30 years.

Cheap labor and more profits is all that mattered, so we are where we are. There's simply not enough boostraps to go around. But printing more money is not the answer either.
