Does this camera have good image stablization? And if not, how do you keep your hand so steady? And also, say if you have a person about 10ft away from the camera, can you hear them well or would you need a mic?

@Nabid777 No image stabilization. You know, I wouldn't bother with this camera anymore because there are so many camcorders on the market now that are vastly superior, at about the same price. An example is the Sanyo Xacti VPC-CG102 HD where I bought on sale for $169. It has 20X zoom, full HD, photo mode and much, much more. The Flip Ultra is cute but really crap. Mine is already broke. I would forget about the Flip.

The difference is huge. View 10 seconds into the clip on pause. He's looking directly into the center of the pool and can't see the hot tub on the right, the beginning of the pool, nor the left side.

Now compare that to 1 min 22 sec into the clip on pause and it's the same shot and now you can see the entire pool.

@rmwtsou, I haven't tried to upload videos yet. Waiting for something good enough to upload instead of just plugging to computer and instant showing.

@odriscoll3353...You're right. I looked where he was standing in the same spot and it's 1min 22sec (with w.a.l) & 1min 39. (without w.a.l.). There we go.

Pause at the 2 locations and you see the big difference.

I'm contemplating doing this to my Flip Ultra HD.

ive watched a view of these kinds of videos, and i hate to admit it, but i can't see the difference between a normal Flip and a Flip w/ wide angle lens. both are 16:9. quality seems about the same to me on 720p. any ideas?

@CrazyWtfFilms I just use the FlipShare software that comes with the camcorder. It has a function of creating the movie, dub the music, and upload to Youtube (or any other web site.) It is all very simple.

What program did you use to format your video. I just tried uploading in .wmv and .divx and both don't fill the entire viewing box. I get the black border around my video when I upload. Do you know how to correct this?

I believe used Super Loiloscope to edit the raw video file; however, it doesn't matter which program you use to edit or to upload, your video file should be shot in 16:9 aspect ratio (instead of 4:3) in order to fill the entire screen.

How does it charge?

I don't use the rechargeable battery that came with the camcorder because it takes too many hours to charge it up. I just use 2 AA batteries and throw them away when they are drained.

The macro filter lens work great. And you can stack them together to get even closer shots. The 2.5X telephoto lens doesn't work so good because the adapter ring will show up on your video, creating a tunnel-vision effect.

The Sunpak wide-angle lens was purchased at Fry's for $37; however, I found a 37mm 0.45X wide angle lens PLUS a 2.5X telephoto lens for sale at eBay by Digital Advice for $24. They come with step-up rings, too.
