  • Your CB-160 manual help me bring back my bike to what I remember as a teenager all those many years ago, great service manual.

  • Don't have a ohmmeter so I cant check. I was thinking it could be the coil it self, I'll try to borrow a friends meter to check it out and will notify you once I do. thanks for the reply

  • @Jzboy912

Volt check is best, but a simple test light is also good to at least check for voltage present.

  • I recently got a cl90. 68 I believe. Didn't run at first but a little work got her up and running :). But about a week back, it wasn't getting spark and still wont :( . I've tested the plug and its good. Any suggestions?

  • @Jzboy912

    Power to the coil?

  • Hey does any one have a pdf of the location of a rectifier for a 68 honda cl90?

  • @lestombe15

It's right by the battery box isn't it?

  • I was looking at two of these today on craigslist. Both for $350, but one is completely in parts and the other doesn't have a title. I like the look of them and may buy one after seeing this video on the finished product.

  • @hackmattr where are you located id buy one from you

  • @lukics80 I'm not selling them. I found them on los angeles caigslist.

  • I used to ride one to high school sometimes as a kid. I had a flawless one and I would ride that thing full throttle all over the place. It was pretty quick, especially the top speed even with stock gearing. The transmission was actually geared for higher speeds so it would really move - unlike all the other smaller Hondas I've ever had.

  • umm theres one for sell its a 1965 and its for 700 should i jump on it

  • nice work

  • @waiheke109

Thanks. Check back later this summer. We are heading back to the Rally and will be shooting lots of great bikes and talking with owners.

  • @1974f4phantom, we used to call those grips "tittie grips" back in the day. I thought they were an accessory. Just going by memory from that time period. Great bike Clymer.

  • Beautiful!

  • Bob,

Hmmm. . .just noticed. The handgrips are also incorrect. I believe the ones you have may have come stock on the later CB/CL series. Not a big deal, but if you check around you can probably find the correct ones. IMO this is one of the prettiest bikes Honda ever made. Thanks for posting.

  • Looks to me like this is actually a 1967 model. I have both '65 and '67. The earlier model has a curved intake manifold and the carb mounts slightly off-center. Also, the rear shocks are on backwards.

A little over-the-top on the bench-grinder polishing, but that's typical. Hard to resist polishing until aluminum looks like chrome, but I've found it's best to stop with the coarse black compound and leave a satin finish. These bikes never looked that good even new. Otherwise, lovely bike!

  • I used to assemble these out of the crate and test ride them. In the Winter we used to race them inside the shop ! fun to ride is an understatement.

  • thanx to that old honda man i got me an s90 and 9st90

    now i want a dream

    and an elsinor

    thanx clymer the manual rocks!

  • looks like ill be picking up a s90 this friday!! woot

  • ha, yeah, they are on backwards!

  • Maybe he only has two left handers ? I'll have to look.

  • @fluxstringer those badges came like that originally on that model, do your home work he obviously did.....

  • Beautiful restoration, but it looks like he has the badges on backwards.

  • Yeah, he has 'em both on backwards ! Not just two left handers like I thought might be the case. Cheez ! I wonder if he did it just to see if anyone would notice. Honda lovers sure would. Someone keep him away from the Super Hawks ! !
