I love this song and I absolutely love the entire musical, but for some reason this specific song sounds like it has some blatant autotune in it... It's weird.
So I was quoting this song on facebook chat with my friend and I just say "CAN I TOUCH YOU?!" she had no idea what I was talking about. It was frikin hilarious.
The little lines are what I love about N2N. Things that you don't notice the first time you listen, but are brilliant. One of my favorite lines is when Aaron goes "Are you bleeding are you wishing are you wanting all that she can't give"
Me and a few of my friends are being inducted into our high school's music honor society. We're gonna sing this song for the induction ceremony. I'm really excited, I love this song!
I went to the touring show in the Kimmel Center, and we were disappointed that Alice couldn't make it but Pearl Sun was great! I'm not sure if she was better than Alice but she definitely had a different quality to her voice(less verbrato) Anyways, it was great!
Go see the tour if you haven't yet. It was amazing--the whole cast, expecially Asa Somers. I saw Pearl Sun fill in for Alice Ripley and she was incredible. We were three rows from the stage. So emotional. Can't stop listening to the music!!
@hitdog867 the kid playing gabe had an amazing tenor 1 voice and the lights were just crazy. And the mother did a fantastic job. The show period was amazing
@hitdog867 right when the mother said she was leaving and they were having that incredibly sad moment, the lady behind me thought that was the perfect time to spend the whole first verse opening a piece of candy.... I would have murdered her if I didnt think I would get kicked out of the FOX
@hitdog867 right when the mother said she was leaving and they were having that incredibly sad moment, the lady behind me thought that was the perfect time to spend the whole first verse opening a piece of candy.... I would have murdered her if I didnt think I would get kicked out of the FOX

@hitdog867 me too! It was hard for me to understand what the mom was singing sometimes, but everyone was good and the concept of the show was FANTASTIC. Love love love.
I just saw this on Wednesday in Rhode Island, AND met Curt Hansen, Emma Hunton, and Preston Sadleir! today! AND performed for them with my theatre class! :D
This song is SO intense. I love it so much. I really like how they played with the timing of who was singing so it would have different meanings coming from each character. Very neat.
so im doind an audition for my high school play. im a tenor. and i was thinking of using this song. but its an audition for pippin and im going for p[ippin. so i should keep it in the 70's. any suggestions. oh and i am only doing 32 bars.
I saw it a couple of weeks ago, I cannot get over, it is amazing, the last 20 minutes you could hear the whole teatre crying, they're such talented actors, i mean obviously they sing well, but i think it quite trascends that, it's how you they make you FEEL... i was blown away, i would see it again without question!
I love this song so much, but when Gabe comes in, he just seems so creepy xD. That's probably why I love him so much. It was a great performance, and so in character! The only one that looked at Gabe was Diana~. I especially love how even if you can't see what's going on, you can sort of picture it in your mind.
@dancoleman2 ??? superboy and the invisible girl is like 11/8...not that time signatures have ANYTHING to do with the quality and value of the score..
@trissinata The front row contains some of the worst seats in the house. The house is slanted downwards, so you will be stuck staring up the whole time. Good thing if you like looking up girl's skirts. You should always try to get a few rows back, F-L are usually really good. Front row of the balcony has good seats too.
@gpchoirer actually because its so short there are 4 rows of row A. we got the fourth. which wast all that bad. and the people in the front probably did have the worst seats.
I saw it on Thursday. The thing is if you sit on ground level in the back you won't be able to see the top part of the stage (which is not used much anyway). The only thing I did not like about the show is everyone except from the Dad is just a mediocre singer. That was kinda disappointing, and the story was also a little sappy.
Not sold out every night. I went from the very last row to 2nd row Mezzanine on Monday night (11/16/09). Alice Ripley was a call sick that night. The U/S was awesome though!!
Hard to say what it's future holds. It's a BRILLIANTLY written and performed show, but it doesn't have a very broad appeal to it for the masses. Still, I think it'll probably run for most if not all of 2010.
its sold out every night. i hope it runs a long time! its one of the only brilliant shows on broadway, and everyone in is amazing! especially bobby. he is so sweeeeeeeet!
Well I think J robert spencer would like to be heard to. Believe me I like Aaron as much as the next guy but during the show I can barely hear him over Aaron, personally I think this makes a nice change.
if your ever NYC for a weekend try your hand at the lottery the do for the front row seats 2 hours before every show. Also if you go alone, partner up with a stranger and have them ask for two tickets and you ask for two tickets, cuz then you'll double ur chances. the tickets are 25 bucks if u win :)
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
not like they did RENT, RENT sux compared to the broadway film... the movie would never be as good as the show, but I'm not against the idea, it is possible to make a good movie based off a broadway show, Sweeney Todd and West Side Story are great examples of braodway musicals turned into movies sucessfully.... I can't see how it would be done well, but I bet its not impossible...
I haven't even seen this musical but with the producer/director creds and the sound of the music I have heard and the general outlook on the musical from the video's I've seen of it on youtube...
I saw this show on Broadway a couple weeks ago and it blew my mind! See it before Hollywood ruins it and replaces it with big stars that will mess it up!
J. Robert Spencer and aaron Tveit have the two of the best male voices on Broadway today. And Alice Ripley, well I don't even have to mention Alice Ripley. She's just astounding.
@JackandSally4ever I agree, but I think the reason behind that is that she poured so much emotion into this role, and when you do that, it will mess with your voice big time. But yes, she can really sing and it makes me sad that her voice is dying out. :(
@rebelsinger123 there is such a thing as too much emotion. and I could tell she was trying to put as much emotion into it as she could, but the fact was 1) when she sang in her lower register, you couldn't understand her, and 2) when she sang in her higher register, she was pretty much always flat.
as much as i love robert, i feel like they digitized his voice on this cd...if you listen when he says "we've been fine for so long now", you can really hear it...why? he's really great live.
this song is so freaking beautiful! GOSH! I'm dying to see this musical now! After the seniors in Musical Theatre did "Light" in my skewl I've been DYING to see this!
What is this show about?! I hear nothing but AMAZING things about it. Tell me the story.
