  • What is this show about?! I hear nothing but AMAZING things about it. Tell me the story.

  • @QuatermassMan It's hard to summarize without spoilers. Look it up on Wikipedia.

  • I love this song and I absolutely love the entire musical, but for some reason this specific song sounds like it has some blatant autotune in it... It's weird.

  • So I was quoting this song on facebook chat with my friend and I just say "CAN I TOUCH YOU?!" she had no idea what I was talking about. It was frikin hilarious.

  • anyone else hear a hint of this weird distortion affect a few times in the beginning?

  • @chocolatesanchez I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE! Yes. Yes, I do.

  • Strong song~!

  • When I saw this with the original cast... I cried, laughed, and loved it. This show is one which will never cease to amaze me.

  • The little lines are what I love about N2N. Things that you don't notice the first time you listen, but are brilliant. One of my favorite lines is when Aaron goes "Are you bleeding are you wishing are you wanting all that she can't give"

  • @sighcantthinkofaname Aaron's line is actually, "Are you waiting, Are you wishing, are you wanting all that she can't give"

  • @NibblerUA That makes much more senseXD

Thanks! I think I like it even more now :)

  • best song in the show

  • Me and a few of my friends are being inducted into our high school's music honor society. We're gonna sing this song for the induction ceremony. I'm really excited, I love this song!

  • Have the privalage too sing this song in a university show :) Obviously i won't be as good... These Guys are amazing!

  • MY FUCKING FAVORITE SONG IN THIS WHOLE PRODUCTION. I BURST INTO TEARS EVERY TIME I WATCH THIS PART.

  • <3

  • was going to go to the closing show in toronto but then they cut the run one day short and now i cant...so dissapointed you have no idea :(

  • I went to the touring show in the Kimmel Center, and we were disappointed that Alice couldn't make it but Pearl Sun was great! I'm not sure if she was better than Alice but she definitely had a different quality to her voice(less verbrato) Anyways, it was great!

  • So fucking good.

  • autotunage at 0:18??

  • @HelloKittyPwns17 No, just his unique voice.

  • Go see the tour if you haven't yet. It was amazing--the whole cast, expecially Asa Somers. I saw Pearl Sun fill in for Alice Ripley and she was incredible. We were three rows from the stage. So emotional. Can't stop listening to the music!!

  • @bookgirlword I really wish I got to see Pearl Sun. The way Alice Ripley sings is really irritating.

  • @Corey5268 Pearl Sun was amazing. Keep trying!

  • my favorite song in next to normal:) they should had won

  • i saw this the day before easter at the FOX theatre in St. Loui. FANTASTIC MUSICAL!!!

  • @hitdog867 the kid playing gabe had an amazing tenor 1 voice and the lights were just crazy. And the mother did a fantastic job. The show period was amazing

  • @kungpow100 i loved the set they used

  • @hitdog867 right when the mother said she was leaving and they were having that incredibly sad moment, the lady behind me thought that was the perfect time to spend the whole first verse opening a piece of candy.... I would have murdered her if I didnt think I would get kicked out of the FOX

  • @hitdog867 me too! It was hard for me to understand what the mom was singing sometimes, but everyone was good and the concept of the show was FANTASTIC. Love love love.

  • Can you make a lyrics vid?

  • Alice Ripley is so fucking fierce

  • This song was not the replacement for "Feeling Electric" the actual replacement was "Wish I Were Here"

  • @MadiMaud No, the musical used to be called Feeling Electric.

  • I just saw this on Wednesday in Rhode Island, AND met Curt Hansen, Emma Hunton, and Preston Sadleir! today! AND performed for them with my theatre class! :D

  • It's amazing that this musical was initially a 10 minute final project in a college theater class.

  • I really wish I could go see this..I can connect to the whole musical so well. Shame it isn't coming to England :(

  • This song is SO intense. I love it so much. I really like how they played with the timing of who was singing so it would have different meanings coming from each character. Very neat.

  • one of the greatest songs ever on Broadway.

  • this is the best song ever

  • im seeing it sunday CAN"T WAIT

  • BeST SONG EVER! just saw it for the 2nd time tonight can't believe its closing :-(

  • yes, you are the one Aaron (:

  • When does this go on tour???

  • I love Aaron Tveits voice i melt every time

  • so im doind an audition for my high school play. im a tenor. and i was thinking of using this song. but its an audition for pippin and im going for p[ippin. so i should keep it in the 70's. any suggestions. oh and i am only doing 32 bars.

  • @canullijr Something's Coming from West Side Story's usually a good choice, it's 50's though.

  • this song reminds me of how i am with this girl

  • this is amazing... i saw it last year and listening to the music still gives me chills!

  • @musiclove291 dude i wanna see this so bad and i am only 13

  • This NEEDS to come to the West End....WITH THE ORIGINAL CAST!

  • this song gave me chills today when i saw it tonight on broadway. i started BALLINGGG CRAZY TEARS!

  • will chase as dan? anyone else think that shoud happen?

  • I saw it a couple of weeks ago, I cannot get over, it is amazing, the last 20 minutes you could hear the whole teatre crying, they're such talented actors, i mean obviously they sing well, but i think it quite trascends that, it's how you they make you FEEL... i was blown away, i would see it again without question!

  • im seeing this on thursday :) i dont think words can actually describe how excited i am.

  • I loved their presentation at the Tony's it was so full of emotions and good acting!

  • I love this song so much, but when Gabe comes in, he just seems so creepy xD. That's probably why I love him so much. It was a great performance, and so in character! The only one that looked at Gabe was Diana~. I especially love how even if you can't see what's going on, you can sort of picture it in your mind.

  • This won best score? It's 4/4 all the way through, just easy listening stuff.

And 4/4 can be a lot more interesting than this.

  • @dancoleman2 ??? superboy and the invisible girl is like 11/8...not that time signatures have ANYTHING to do with the quality and value of the score..

  • Could you be specific as to why you don't like it? I mean it's your opinion and i respect it just curious.

  • the music is very simple but thats one reason it's so beautiful

  • i'd love to see this...i can really relate to this song...as sad as that is...

  • actually, when I saw it, on a friday night, it wasn't sold out

  • IM SO HAPPY! I GET TO SEE THIS IN ROW 'A'!

  • omg LUCKY!!!!

  • @trissinata The front row contains some of the worst seats in the house. The house is slanted downwards, so you will be stuck staring up the whole time. Good thing if you like looking up girl's skirts. You should always try to get a few rows back, F-L are usually really good. Front row of the balcony has good seats too.

  • @gpchoirer actually because its so short there are 4 rows of row A. we got the fourth. which wast all that bad. and the people in the front probably did have the worst seats.

  • I want to see this so bad!!!

  • Not sold out every night. I went from the very last row to 2nd row Mezzanine on Monday night (11/16/09). Alice Ripley was a call sick that night. The U/S was awesome though!!

  • I saw this song on the tony awards and immeadiately looked up the musical the next day. ;- P

  • if u see this, u wil cry, it's emotional and brilliant

  • Best Musical. Ever.

[I've seen 'em all - see this!]

  • Seems like a pretty cool musical :D Will never beat Spring Awakening for a rock musical though XD xxxxxxx

  • Thank you sooooo much for posting these!!!!!!!!!! I looooove this show!!!! Im going in Dec and im excited!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Great song.

    Can anyone tell me

how NtN is doing on BW? Will it still be there in 2010?

  • It's a pretty popular show so I don't think it wil be closing for a little while.

  • Hard to say what it's future holds. It's a BRILLIANTLY written and performed show, but it doesn't have a very broad appeal to it for the masses. Still, I think it'll probably run for most if not all of 2010.

  • its sold out every night. i hope it runs a long time! its one of the only brilliant shows on broadway, and everyone in is amazing! especially bobby. he is so sweeeeeeeet!

  • Oh I have no doubt it will last up to 2012 at least!!!! There is so much hype for this show all over the world, let alone in my school!!!!!

  • probably, since it's like ..a HUGE success.

  • Well I think J robert spencer would like to be heard to. Believe me I like Aaron as much as the next guy but during the show I can barely hear him over Aaron, personally I think this makes a nice change.

  • plus, aaron's character is supposed to be more in the background and especially present to alice's. :)

  • i live near the new york city area but i never have the time or money to see any of the shows i wanna see ):

  • if you ever have time go 2 times square at 2 oclock in the hot tix line next to normal is half off pretty much every day... if that helps :)

  • i think me getting time to go is impossible...but thanks (: lol

  • The seats SUUUCK. But it's a great price, and the ushers will let you move to a better seat at intermission if it's open.

  • if your ever NYC for a weekend try your hand at the lottery the do for the front row seats 2 hours before every show. Also if you go alone, partner up with a stranger and have them ask for two tickets and you ask for two tickets, cuz then you'll double ur chances. the tickets are 25 bucks if u win :)

  • thank youu! :)

  • I love this song. It is so powerful and so is the show!! I just saw it a while ago and fell completely in love with it! <3 It was amazing!

  • This is my favorite song from the show!

  • I'm guessing this show has no ensemble

  • it has an ensemble. theyre in who's crazy/ my psychopharmacologist and I

  • Ah i c i c

  • This would be good as a feature length film like they did with RENT.

  • *show, not film

  • i really want to see this and billy elliott

  • this is the best broadway show EVER <3333

  • i hope they put this on dvd

  • Me too! I live in CA and we only get so many plays out in LA and they're honestly too expensive for me to afford

  • I haven't even seen this musical but with the producer/director creds and the sound of the music I have heard and the general outlook on the musical from the video's I've seen of it on youtube...

    I TOTALLY AGREE!!!

  • wow:) what a fantastic song!

  • Makes me cry like every single time. So heart wrenching. So honest.

  • aaron tviet :]

    love

  • I remember watching this on the Tonys. intense performance. Great song!

  • I just discovered this musical and it is amazing! I so wish i lived in New York.

  • I saw this show on Broadway a couple weeks ago and it blew my mind! See it before Hollywood ruins it and replaces it with big stars that will mess it up!

  • true dat!

  • I love this song

  • Aaron Tveit is soo cute!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Their performance at the tony awards gave me chills. I annoyed my mom because I kept rewinding it on our dvr....

  • Me Too!

  • I love Aaron Tveit's voice He is sooooooo Amazing

  • J. Robert Spencer and aaron Tveit have the two of the best male voices on Broadway today. And Alice Ripley, well I don't even have to mention Alice Ripley. She's just astounding.

  • @rebelsinger123 Not in the production I saw. She sounded like she had had a stroke, which was disappointing because I know she can sing.

  • @JackandSally4ever I agree, but I think the reason behind that is that she poured so much emotion into this role, and when you do that, it will mess with your voice big time. But yes, she can really sing and it makes me sad that her voice is dying out. :(

  • @rebelsinger123 there is such a thing as too much emotion. and I could tell she was trying to put as much emotion into it as she could, but the fact was 1) when she sang in her lower register, you couldn't understand her, and 2) when she sang in her higher register, she was pretty much always flat.

  • as much as i love robert, i feel like they digitized his voice on this cd...if you listen when he says "we've been fine for so long now", you can really hear it...why? he's really great live.

  • Should I download the songs or buy the CD?

  • the CD

  • thank you thank you thank you for posting this!!!!!!!

  • This song is so good! And the cast is so talented.

  • I think Alice Ripley ahs huge talent especially in her acting..... the little things she does.... she's awesome

  • I love this song so much. She is such a good singer. :)

  • I wish Next to Normal would've won best musical. I really do.

  • This show should have won Best Musical! but Billy Elliot was good. This was just better in my opinon!

  • I think this should have won more awards.

  • How AMAZING was this performance at the Tony Awards??? It was INCREDIBLE!!!

  • @clrb15 when you actually see it on Broadway its better!

  • @clrb15 loved it!

  • Alice won a Tony for this show! I'm so happy for her!

  • this song is so freaking beautiful! GOSH! I'm dying to see this musical now! After the seniors in Musical Theatre did "Light" in my skewl I've been DYING to see this!
