  • I really really love this song ... the music and the lyric...

  • fantastic, i can hear it really for hours!! can make me cry, and he sing it for sure from his heart

  • Amen, there aren't songwriters like this anymore. And no one sings from their heart much now and days.

He sings it like he means it; and that's what i love the most.

    Rest in peace

  • 亡くなってしまったなんて知らなかった。

    大好きな曲で当時毎日聴いていたのに‥。

    ご冥福を祈ります。

  • to bad he died. Now it's outer space for his ashes.

  • They don't make singers and song writers like this anymore.

  • beautiful

  • Certain UK radio DJs back then, would make jokes about his name and what he got up to, to make vans warm...Ugh!

  • Thank fuck for weed after that !

  • Nice guitar. Is it a Gretch or a Guild ?

The Pans gave me a mild colour and caricature trip. lol. Awfully wet song.

  • back to 70's again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • my mom and i love this song

  • really beautiful song...

  • This was when women and singers had class. No tattoo,s on women and no ear rings on men.

  • one of the best!!!

  • LOL... Ok, well I must admit, it's pretty gay, but that was the style back then... kinda. I love the song, but yes, let just say, my friends would make fun of me if they saw me watching this.

  • Hilarious! You took the words right out of my mouth. LOL

  • leukemia* :D

  • Died in 2004 of Lukemia and his ashes were sent into space. Really gifted artist! Looks like Napolean Duynamite though!

  • Saw Randy perform this great song at the Bluebird Cafe in Nashville! It was fantastic! It's a beautiful song and one of my favorites!

  • i love this song, but the video is just too funny. wtf?! are they doing.

  • yes he is dead.cancer i think

  • Is Randy Vanwarmer dead??? How and when?

  • RIP Randy.

  • thanx for posting this. I asked a year ago if you had a video to this and you hadn't at the time.

  • Yeah, this video is incredibly cheesy as hell. That said, it is a beautiful song just like "Falling" by Leblanc and Carr.

  • he was 22yrs old her? genius!!

  • This song is very sad but very nice, a super classic.

  • Napolean Dynamite?

  • He kind of looks like a young Ron Kittle.

  • I agree this was a 10 on the cheese meter..but you have to remember it was the 70s. Rest in Peace Randy! You made a great contribution !!

  • cheese tastes good

    feelings are okay

  • Thanx for your contributions to music Randy..RIP!

  • this song always brings a tear to my eyes...and what a great year it came out, 1979 the year of my birth.

  • The good die way to soon.

  • mama

you left me when I needed you most

It wasn't your fault you died in an accident

but I remember seeing you in a coffin

and I remember wanting to hug you, I still remember you, and I still love you

    your baby boy

  • i know it will be hard at the moment, but u be able to get back on with ya life soon, even though u wont forget ya lost one, the memorie will never go, think of the good times, take care

  • bella melodia y buena letra

  • Marvellous song.

  • like the song, still was surprised to see that

he looks like andy dick's dad..

  • look like a neerd

  • GREAT SONG!

  • Aww...C'mon, Y'al are being to tough. These women bring the SEXY to luggage. As for a pimmpled faced Vanwarmer...Way cool...

  • This shockingly horrific video doesn't underscore what such a heart-felt ( albeit broken ) love song this timeless classic turned out to be. rip Randy...and thanks for the song !

  • True. Although, I don't believe a real music vid. was ever made for this song (MTV was still 2 years away, 1981 -- from when this song was hit, 1979). Vid. is from "Top Of The Pops" if not mistaken. It certainly was a more unique & different song for 1979 which was cluttered w/ either disco, hard rock or punk rock (throwback to earlier 1970's easy listening). I feel Randy would have had bigger career if he had 1st started performing during early 1980's New Wave's New Romantic movement.

  • Rest in Peace Randy, you left us too early but with a beautiful song for us to remember you by,

  • great song. piss poor miming & video - sometimes it's better to just listen

  • Yeah -- the dancing suitcase girls are incredibly corny...!

But what a song. Heard it again, in a bar in Shanghai, after so many years, and it made me think of someone who left me a while ago.

What makes it so special is the "youuuu" which lasts just a beat too long. Amazing.

  • Come on folks...this was 1979 - some 28

    years ago!

  • he could be afraid to step out there again. I'd say he got beat up alot,& maybe just hideout somewhere

  • ...since Randy turned out be a one-hit wonder, this is as good a one to have as any..

  • The most heartbreaking, gut wrenching, saddest song ever written.

  • Ho my god... I have always thought that it was a woman singing this ! :o)

I still love it... anyway :o)

  • Many thanks !

  • Thank you so much for posting this. This song is one of the best ever made for its genre, and I have been wanting to see the original performer so BAD...!

    Thanks again for posting this.

  • great song horrible video

  • excelent! thanks 4 sharing! :)

  • FANTASTICO

  • a time before MTV thats for sure. LOL. excellent song though.
