He doesn't know a thing about Africa - why should he? His Kenyan father abandoned him. White ppl rejected him because of the color of his skin, He found his sense of place in the African-American community not in Africa. That is his source of strength and support (polls show that 90% of African Americans support Obama even when White voters abandon him). And since you Africans seem to hate us African Americans so much why would you expect anything from Obama anyway?!
Congrats on the Q however it is very irrelevant as it relates to 'Africa' and not the country you represent 'SA', hwever thats my opinion nt after a debate or anything...
It amazing how people only talk about Africa in terms of diseases or something evil.
Thats thesame tone other races use when refering to Africa.
Why do we always forget about the greatness and hidden wealth of this great continent.
I am not blinded by the fact that he is the first black president. His words about Africa sometimes shock me. His constant failure to talk about his grandma other sblings from kenya says alot.
Can somebody tell me why Africa is ways on the wrong side?
(forget the polls -- they don't count new voters or reflect how the electoral college is stacking up; I live in a "swing" state and our county's voter registration offices are swamped with newly registered voters who are mostly young and/or African American -- a Key Obama demographic -- they are now two months behind themselves in processing the forms because there are so many of them)
...this video clip will soon be titled "President Obama answers my question."
I thought that initially it was a typical American answer, but then he elaborated by saying that we need a prosperous Africa and other such things. So the answer was good.
Sad that he regards africa as being more a problem of desease and genocide. I wish he had taked more about Africa having potential and developing it's future.

It is 2009, not 1939. He is our president now, you're going to have to deal with it.

I guess you're a big fan of marxism, aren't you? I just think it's a shame that the 4-decade Cold War was a waste of time.

1. Our fates our not linked with Africa. We can't stop Africans from spreading diseases like Marburg, Lhassa, Ebola, HIV etc.
2. If he were to show preferential treatment to Africa based on his background, that would be the definition of treason.
