i did 1212 all around row five and mine lays flat and is fine...but im wondering if i should keep going and see if it will really be okay or backtrack and do 112112....

I don't understand! I am a beginner at this and when I saw ''Starting Row 5" she said 1,2,1,2. She even demonstrated in the video. And now she is saying to do 1,1,2,1,1,2? I am confused!

Actually, it depends on your yarn and how tight you pull the yarn. I did 1212 and it was fine.

I did the 1,2,1,2 thing as well, and now she's changed it. It didn't take me but a few minutes to do round 5, but I'm frustrated with this lady'smistake because now I have to do it again which is annoying.

OK I didn't notice the comments on the previous video so I did row 5 as 1212 and it came out really frilly!!! I then spotted the comments and undid it all and redid row 5 as 112112 and it has come out much flatter so I would say that was right!

Don't freak out! She's human too. If it took you that long to do row 5, you need more practice anyways... Be glad she's trying to help us learn to crochet : )

wow, wtf, when she started row 5, she said 1 2 1 2, then at the end she said 1 1 2 1 1 2! wtf! ive spent like a half an hour making the fifth row! i dont ever wanna continue with this hat couse she might give wrong instuctions again! }=(]

I did 1 2 1 2 on row 5 for my hat and mine came out fine, I'm sure if you just do that without changing it, it'll be fine.

I'm very confused. In the starting row 5, it tells me to do 1 crochet, 2 crochet, 1 crochet, ect. And this one says I was suppose to do 1, 1, 2, 1, 1, 2, ect. Which one am I suppose to do?
