At least they tried to do something original with the story-if it's just watching a psycho killing people again and again, all you've got is Friday the 13th with different opening credits. In my opinion, Halloween 4-6, flaws and all, were truer to "The Shape's" mythos than H20; the latter downgraded Carpenter's embodiment of evil to a spoiled brat with anger issues.
But yeah, they should have made George Wilbur hit the gym before filming...or at the very least, strap on a corset.
@JamesPolymer, The fact is that Halloween came 1st so it couldn't have been Friday the 13th with different opening credits, no matter how good H 4-6 were, they pretty much deluded Michael's character, especially the 5th one where they made him cry and the 6th one explaining how Michael is immortal and why he is killing, that kills the mystery of Michael and makes him seems more like a puppet, H20 retained Michael's mysterious character by ignoring the last 3 films.
Well...I guess in a way it is scarier when no motive is given. I don't know, for me H20 and beyond just don't have the atmosphere the other films did–that grittiness with a pervading sense of gloom, where it just *feels* like some evil force is hiding in the shadows.
As far as H6 goes, I always thought the scene where Michael turns on the cult members was done to make the viewer think, "Holy shit, even these guys [the supposed source of his power] can't control him! What *is* he?"
@JamesPolymer, True, even though I hated Halloween 6's plot, it was one of the creepiest Halloween's, like the part where Kara was across the street from her house where she uses a scope to look inside and called where Beth picked up the phone and the next thing you notice, Kara sees Michael walking inside the room and kills Beth, and then Danny starts walking to the house, H6 had some creepy scenes, I just hated the fact they made Michael a puppet.

I am Sick and Tired of waiting for the (The Producer's Cut) of the Film to be released officially. The original CUT of the film can be released ya know. The only way to do it is through DISNEY. I know they won't give it an OFFICIAL release. But I think it's time to step up to the plate and do something about it. If your a fan of the HALLOWEEN films Try to do something about it. CAUSE I am sure going to DAMNIT.

I loved George P. Wilbur's performance in this movie. I find it just as great as his performance in Halloween 4. The only thing I find a bit comical is that the fact that Michael power walks through the tunnels in this film lol. The producer's cut is still a much better version of the movie, but I love the psychotic look in Tommy Doyle's eyes as he's beating the door down and Michael is just walking towards him casually.
I thought it was Halloween 1, 2....ermmm fuck 3, 4 and 5 then H20 then resurection and then the remakes. At first I tought this was fan made but it looks too good. Someone tell me at what point does this movie tie in with the storyline?
@LukaRaPtoR This film is part of the "thorn" storyline. It ties in with Halloween 4 & 5. At the end of Halloween 5, Jamie Lloyd is kidnapped by the thorn cult and placed in captivity for several years until she is old enough to bear a next of kin for the thorn sacrifice. Hence why she's giving birth at the beginning. I encourage you to find a copy of the producer's cut of Halloween 6. It's even better than the theatrical version. ;)

I really like this Halloween and Halloween 4 and Halloween 5 because I liked the H4, H5, and H6 masks, I thought the soundtrack to those movies was amazing, and I just like the suspense!

On relection this was a good film. The audience wants something different in terms of a plot. They could not make every halloween film the same as the original. So the cult plot was a good twist in the series!

I really like this Halloween and Halloween 4 and Halloween 5 because I liked the H4, H5, and H6 masks, I thought the soundtrack to those movies was amazing, and I just like the suspense!

Yea that movie wasn't that good, I liked it but Rob Zombie's Micheal was an image of the Micheal from the first movie more than this Micheal, the oringinal Micheal (from H1,H2,H20,and HR) isn't controlled by no curse while this one is, Micheal Myers is ONLY a psycho and nothing more, now I did like H4,H5, and H6 but Micheal being controlled by an evil curse makes Micheal seems like a puppet, that's why those movies were ignored by the last 3 movies, and yea ur right, Micheal Myers pwns.

but you should know Michael was using Winn more than Winn was using Michael...Michael easily turned on him and killed him...Michael used Winn for pretty much getting him outta trouble...so Winn was more of the puppet than Michael friend

On relection this was a good film. The audience wants something different in terms of a plot. They could not make every halloween film the same as the original. So the cult plot was a good twist in the series!

ya i dont think it ruined the plot but ressurection just didnt make alot of sense. it was ok to me but it had nothing to do with Michael's Family, or the cult. it was basicly a friday the 13th sequal. NOOO STORYLINE. but again i thought it was ok. and I LOVED H20 but i think halloween 6 was the best sequal
