A Mulher Maravilha sempre teve poderes telepático afinal de contas ela controla o laço mágico.Episódio pra lá de futurista, tudo faz sentido nesse desenho.
The ironic thing about this that this episode was meant to illustrate the problem of global COOLING! I read about in my textbooks & in the Scholastic newspaper they had us read. The world was getting cooler b/c of pollution & we needed to change how we did everything to prevent a new ice age. Crazy. I can't believe anyone had the gall to try the exact opposite trick.
Transparent plane? "You must conserve your body moisture?" Twirling a magnetic coil around the Earth? Where do people come up with this shit? LOL I love it, thought! Just for the record, The Flash doesn't "flash" just by use of muscles. He also kinda bends space and time...
For Revdj - apparently this was not the full episode. The stranger was an alien that wanted to make the Earth hotter for his race.
As far as WW and her telepathic powers and plane, in the original versions, WW could not fly on her own as she does these days and had to depend on the invisible plane ( a prop driven in early times) to get about and her telepathic powers were for the plane only.
So Flash is a master architect and builder, restoring the Taj Mahal completely, from rubble, lol... Oh, we were so easily entertained then! Loved this show.
awww i remember when i was 6 and every staurday morning i'd get up at like 5 and watch all these old episodes on boomerang. on schooldays i'd watch wacky races, smurfs, snorks, and the perils of peneliple pipslop or something if i had enough time. they should still be doing stuff in technicolor! also in the afternoons i'd watch house of mouse and looneytoons. classis!
@frankous66 They already have. It's got the Invisible SuperJet (and Invisible Missiles), Greek god family issues, and Nathan Frieman (Nathan Something, I know that much; he's played Captain Hammer, the captain in Firefly/Serenity, and Vigilante in Justice League Unlimited) as Wonder Woman's love interest! Look on YouTube for Wonder Woman Movie.
@tomcat13claws I agree....I prefer marvel comics and action figures but superfriend is the besr super hero cartoon....especially challenge of the super friends
No, one of the characters in the show actually refers to the plane as transparent. I was just trying to be sarcastic. Or sardonic. But it was obviously opaque.
i've liked the first season of the Superfriends. it's not been issued yet on DVD for whatever reason but these episodes are limited animation in the truest sense and compared to the later versions, which people also call limited animation, this first season is hardcore limited animation. The so-called moral lessons and propaganda doesn't really bother me because a lot of it went over kids' heads anyway, I think. Most kids were drawn to the show because it had comic book characters in a cartoon.
Ummm...didn't the Flash melt the whole Earth when Captain Cold froze it in "Invasion of the Fearians"? In that case, the Flash CAUSED global warming!!!
seriously though, this episode came along in 1973 and here it is 2009 and there's some people hollering and fussing and screaming about the same topic 36 years later. it just shows that 36 years ago alarmists were uptight over global warming and 36 years later they're still uptight over the issue. That kind of statistic pretty much shows that there's no need for any urgency when it comes to that topic.
I looked it up and a man named Cliff/Ray Owens voiced the character in the Filmation series. Jack Angel did the voice most often starting with "Challenge of the Superfriends" in 1978.

I wonder if the local eskimos who lived in that village which Superman rescued
from that avalanche, ever wait patiently for word that their child's application
to an accredited college was accepted or not? Not too many eskimos get
accepted to Harvard or Princeton, it seems... Marvin. Wonder Dog. But Wendy
seemed to have very few lines. 'Everybody in their proper place', is that what
the Superfriends taught? The farmers - the eskimos of the mid-west?

Wonder Woman's telepathic? Did that power just evaporate over the years or was this show just making it up as it went along?
BlackMaskStudios 3 months ago
@BlackMaskStudios
I think WWs telepathy was to compensate for her underemphasized strength. I read somewhere that the writers didn't want her to compete with superman.

Farms dont look like that anymore... not many cows in dairy land. Now there is a cow every 6 inches in feed pens.
