  • pussies who tandem, go iaf fool

  • Hey Brandon, Next time your on a jump like that. Pick your legs and feet up and let the instructor have control of the landing. Your feet touched the ground first making you take down the instructor with you. However the instructor should have told you that. maybe he did and you forgot

  • shit videography :(

  • I've seen a lot worse.

  • This was deliberate - I bet the instructor said something like 'do you want athrilling landing or a boring one?' and the student opted for the former...

  • @jagara1 Being the student, I can say that I was given no such option :-)

  • @jagara1 In that case it was a crap landing...

  • Great camerawork!

  • @TheNovaAxon : bullshit! it's BAD videography...!! sorry, but it's BAD! :(

  • That's in Byron isn't it?

  • that's what i was thinking! my very first thought was wow, that's the same tandem canopy color they have in byron. then i saw the windmills! so yea, it has to be, haha.

  • hey you know what.

every landing is a good landing if you land uninjured.

I mean you just fell over two miles for fuck sake. =)

    Blue Skies

  • wheres the crash?

  • i still think he shoulda hooked it in =P

  • That was totally the instructors fault.

    What a joker.

Watch his hands at the start of the video and he flies in on half brakes....then 20 feet above the ground he lets the toggles back up and the canopy surges forward...it doesnt have time to slow down again when he re flares to try and land...which is why it doesnt slow down much!

    BTDT and it HURTS

  • Rubbish, he intentionally induced the surge to give himself a more powerful flare and it DID slow down. Many instructors do this. You can see a totally horizontal plane out at the end, about 1ft too low, which is one reason why students are told to get their legs up on landing.

  • yep, I agree. I see the tandem instructors do this all the time at langar. Admittidly a bit higher though!

  • Sounds like its quite windy and there was nothing wrong with that landing.

Theres no specific regulation stating that landings have to be picture perfect (especially with strong winds).

  • You are correct.

  • just looks like he hit some sink... no injuries means no big deal

  • Shnit. Hope I come out that good when I die... I mean dive... this summer.

  • it wasn't that bad :) these things happen when the passenger isn't pulling up his leggs enough :)

  • that wasnt even bad PLUS it was a tandem.

  • not bad at all

  • That was not a great tandem landing but it wasn't a hard or bad landing either.

  • What's wrong with that? That was a soft landing for a tandem jump.

  • ha, that guy is a dick

  • ???
