Yes. Space is not a concern. There would be obvious issues trying to get a Bridgeport or Southbend down there. But getting power, lighting, and proper organizational storage should be no problem. It is a major project though.
It also shouldn't be hard to get 220v up to the garage for doing MIG or TIG up there if I can't get a bike down the stairs into the basement. I would like to arrange a ramp and hoist job for doing that.
If you go back over my older videos on LV, you might recall some about my Grandmother's place. I used to live there. It's rather a long an painful story that I won't get into. Short story is, the house I'm now living in is new and only been living in it since fall of 2005. A lot of stuff got left behind in the move.
Nice to hear of your shop creation ideas, will be interesting to see the results, build it all your self. :)

It's a big project. It's going to take longer than I expected. Gotta lay stuff out first and see how I want the lighting and stuff.
