And I've made a video according to your idea.

However,if you could make the similar video and post it as a video response, I would remove mine because the above video is due to you after all.

I have:
2048 - 39 = 2009
Let Log2(9) bea log with base equal to:
sqt(sqt(9))
Log2(9)= 4 as in the video
I can do this with six 9's.
Let Log11(9) be a log with base equal to:
sqt(sqt(sqt(sqt(sqt(sqt(sqt(sqt(sqt(sqt(sqt(9))))))))))))
Thus Log11(9) = 2048

I offer: 999+999 = 2009 - 20
Only 6 nines used, and the number 2009 is still unique!
(Hehe, I think I may have cheated...;)
