  • which uses only six nines.

    2+1+2+1 Voila!

  • I could understand what you mean.

And I've made a video according to your idea.

    and posted it.

However,if you could make the similar video and post it as a video response, I would remove mine because the above video is due to you after all.

  • Log11(9) - (9 + Log2(9)) * sqt 9

  • Wow nice answer,

Check out my video, it is like this but you can add your answers as annotations and it uses 4's

Just type in "4444 Maths Puzzle"

    Comment your answers please . . .

  • I have:

    2048 - 39 = 2009

  • Let Log2(9) bea log with base equal to:

    sqt(sqt(9))

Log2(9)= 4 as in the video

  • I can do this with six 9's.

Let Log11(9) be a log with base equal to:

    sqt(sqt(sqt(sqt(sqt(sqt(sqt(sqt(sqt(sqt(sqt(9))))))))))))

    Thus Log11(9) = 2048

  • Thanks for the video challenge!

    I offer: 999+999 = 2009 - 20

Only 6 nines used, and the number 2009 is still unique!

(Hehe, I think I may have cheated...;)

    Cheers, Rick

  • Whoops, I meant 999+999 = 2009 - 21 !!

  • Thanks for your kind attention!
