plantar fasciitis is really painful. Get shoes that have cushion and have good arch support. I have a lot of customers that come in with custom orthotics and still have pain because it got so bad. Do lots of stretches for your feet, get supportive shoes (which means a lot of heels are out because most heels have no arch support, unfortunately) and get shoes with cushion!

Mel! I know the pain of plantar fashitis. I had it for two years in both feet quite bad. And me being a soccer player am always running. So I'd limp all the time. It got so bad I had to take an Advil before practice. I ended up going to the doctor, found out I had very flat feet and needed custom orthotics.... Stop it early! It hurts like hell!

***** Serious Note- Planar Fascia-tis can make your walking PAINFUL when you get older. The best thing to do is to Stretch out the Tendon on the bottom of your foot so that there is no pressure on it (ie a softball) and then Wear shoes with more supportive arches! GO SEE A PEDIATRIST just for a second opinion. If not, you will have to get surgery on each foot that will cut the tendon and then wait 6months of recovery for each one! Stretch it out,a walk a lot and feel better :)

arch supports are good for the pain..have alternate pairs of tennis shoes. Don't use the same ones every single day..also do stretches for your foot ..if its in pain get a 2 liter empty coke bottle fill it with water..freeze it then wrap it with a light towel and roll your foot over it..do that for about 30mins or so. I use to shadow a Podiatrist so I know a lot about Plantar Fasciitis.
