Bizzarrini was the best...In the conception and setup of this car there was no infirmation lost between driver and engineer as he was both. This is art. Well driven too... Great video thanks
What a glorious sound from a very rare and wonderful car. I have seen this car race several times at Goodwood and Le Mans and love it every time. Thanks for sharing this...
Interesting that the two best sounding engines ever built are both Ferrari V12's in the 3-litre range...this 6 twin-throat carburetted one and the high-tech one in the 412T2 F1 Car.
Actually it started life as a 1961 250GT, and is what the 1962 250GTO would have been like had Ferrari not fired his chief engineers. Note that it has a flag on the nose instead of the horse. Best feature is the engine was dry sumped allowing it to be mounted lower, which made the car quite stable.

to MarMPB seems the car would be a Cobra but as the wheels are so tight it looks also like an Ace the basic car on which Carol Shelby made the Cobra...

The bread van was built on a SWB Chassis, with 4 speed box, for the Swiss Ferrari concession..... he was having a fight with Enzo....Ferrari would not modify a GTo to his liking. The bread van was unstable on the Mulsanne, particularly at The Kink..... drivers cursed it
But you guys have been all SPOOFED by a SIM...... look outside of the car, track side..... nothing out there is is real... inside looks real... that's interesting...
Actually this is not a SIM. The video was taken at the First Round of the Ferrari Challenge in April 2008. The Breadvan was entered in The 2 hour Gentle Man Drivers Race and won.
And you got the story about it wrong.
I drove the Car at Le Mans last year. I was doing 286kph at the end of the Mulsanne straight and I can hardly say that this car is unstable at high speeds.
@Impuls2000 Wonderful video Max, I do hope you make some new ones in the new racing season (with a bit less noise in the audio and more glorious V12 screams :-)!!
No, it is not a Ferrari. It 's a Bizzarrini. The chassis and engine came from Ferrari but the bodywork is from Bizzarrini. That makes this car a Bizzarrini and all over the world it is known as such.
Does this bring back some fond memories! I never drove it on a track but every so often, I'd swap Matthew Ettinger the Breadvan for my GTO and we'd do some mischief.
my grandma can shift better than that.

Magnificent car... well driven.
There are so many videos on YouTube of 430s and Enzos being driven awfully, by inept drivers, this is the perfect antidote to all that.

@MarMPB I'd go for a AC Cobra with a roof ! Check the wheels arches. It's too compact to be 250 SWB. I guess...

It 's not a Sim, that 's the real Mugello Circuit in Tuscany, owned by Ferrari.
