This is just Metroid: Zero Mission, a game for the GBA. It starts as a "retelling" of the original NES game, and then continues for a while afterward, but takes place entirely before the start of Metroid Prime. The reason you see stylistic elements from other games is because they are all part of the same sequence. This game ends not long before Metroid Prime begins.
