Yes, Pls make me a copy...my email addr: jayjones326@yahoo.com

  • i'm 43 & i don't care what all these youngsters say about our music and era, because this was when singers had substance, quality, great voices, creativity, passion & the heart to sing about love, unlike the thugged out gangsta ass,no rappin,no singing, sampling, fake ass lyrics, plastic ass beats that america has to deal with in todays music.what happened to dressing nice, looking good, being well spoken, manners, class, ect. where's donny simpson with another b.e.t sit down with a real artist? memories

  • @str8outtatexas1 sadly artist like that from your era exist but alot of record companies don't want to play them. I know folks in their 20s who can read and play music who are very talented but the companies want what sells its sad.

  • @str8outtatexas1 I'm 25 I HATE THIS Generation of Music in general period! If it was up to me I rather been born another time than 85... probably 75! The Music generation we have now is SAD! My father and sister claim that I live in the past too much.... FUCK THAT! This were the REAL SOUL in Music! I DON'T BELONG IN THIS GENERATION!

  • @Larh124 Yes, this was real music! I LoVED the Zagora album and played it TO DEATH in '88-89!! Look at her outfit! It's fly! I remember I MADE me a hat like that out of cardboard and fabric to wear out on New Years Eve 1988. I called it my Queen Latifah/Phyllis Hyman Hat. They had such class and style back then with music and dress! Those were the DAYS!

  • @Larh124 I grew up with this music and I have people tellin me that I live in the past to much. Back then we were care free and the best time of my life so yeah I live in the past and gonna stay that way. The great thing about music is that it has no age and the young people can go back in time when music was music. I have a good friend in the group Zapp and we were talkin about music today and he said when your daughter gets your age she won't have anything to listen to...

  • @FireitupBedford YES I'm glad I'm NOT by myself on this! I come one the computer mainly to listen to music from the 70's 80's and 90's! Some from 2000's! I find myself on the computer even more now Cause today's EVERYTHING is SAD! Not only that I've been looking for a Job for a long time and still didn't called on or hired! The economy was not as bad back then as it is now, ANOTHER REASON why I WISHI was BORN EARLIER! PRAY 4 me!

  • @FireitupBedford Zapp is always a classic. I Love Zapp & Roger (RIP)

  • @FireitupBedford who's your friend in Zapp?

  • @NY32986 Bigg Robb...

  • @FireitupBedford Oh I remember him, he was also Roger's Driver (he mentioned on TVOne's Unsung)

  • @Larh124 Well said. You're not alone. Agreed I had that same problem with my aunt and she tried to belittle me for listen to 80's and 90's music. I personally don't give a fuck what she says because at the end of the day this kind of music relaxes me. As for this generation, I hate it too. I'm 24.

  • @Kevonthafuture450000 THE WORLD HAS HOPE after all! Your one of the few people that has the same vision of me THANK U GOD and God Bless You! Stay TRUE to who you are AMEN!.... :)

  • @Larh124 Thanks man you too.

  • @Larh124 Have no fear. Real soul music is still being made. Nowadays it's called Smooth Jazz and Neo Soul. They had to move it over and give it another title to make way for the Hip/Hop R&B because it doesn't generate as much money as it used to.

  • @Larh124 AMEN, You said Everything I would say!

  • @str8outtatexas1 Kids today generally concede that our era of music is better, at least the ones that I talk to. They just have to go ahead and forge their own path. I don't worry about what THEY listen to, because I ain't gotta listen to it myself...PEACE.

  • @str8outtatexas1 I'm almost 22, and I hate the music of my generation. I wish music today was like this. Easy to dance to.

  • @str8outtatexas1 I totally 100% agree with what you said. No more good music, where the musicians and singers actually played the instruments and sang live not lipsync like these no talented so called singers today

  • @str8outtatexas1 its all about money man, they can't compare to the shit back in the 90s, 80s and 70s

  • @str8outtatexas1 I'M 45 AND I HAD THIS ON CASSET AND ITS STILL MY JAM ...MY FRIEND WE HAD THE BEST IN MUSIC

  • @sierria64 yes we did.

  • @str8outtatexas1 hey old guy suck a thugged out dick bitch!

  • @poppiezoe U TALK A LOT OF SHIT HIDING BEHIND THE KEYBOARD, BUT I BET THAT OLD GUY WOULD BEAT THE SHIT OUT OF UR SORRY BITCH ASS. I KNOW I WOULD!!!

  • @GMSNMS suck my dick bitch no better yet suck micheal jackson's son blanket's dick then go sit on magic johnson's you fag

  • @str8outtatexas1 well said

  • @str8outtatexas1 Im with what you're talking about . They dont do it like they use to , and thats too bad for the music loving world.

  • @str8outtatexas1 Yes, this was real music!

  • If only I could return to these days! I was down south in Arkansas.

  • this type of ish make a nigga wanta grow a jheri curl

  • Loose ends is the shit!Moms use to bump this all the time.

  • They were the cool sophisticated 'refined' vibe like Soul to Soul after them and Arrested Development after them.......who carried the torch then?.........

  • Steve and Carl are so handsome... wonder what Steve's looking like these days, Jane, too!

  • CLASSIC....Timeless Masterpiece.. Hell yea!!! Love it!

  • More cowbell! Hit #1 soul, but didn't make the Billboard Hot 100. Liked their immediate previous hit, 'Stay a little while, child.' God bless!

  • Tight!

  • Classic jam!

  • Crazy cool funk

  • It"s good to know there are people out there who recognize good music! The 80's were classy in fun. Despite the many problems that may have existed the music made people feel good. The Lyrics meant something. @ funkytwisted1 we were truly spoiled.

  • @Palmpat I agree about the music but what problems are you talking about? I see far more problems with todays world than back in the 80s.

  • I'm listening a lot of "Loose Ends" these period. I own all the 12" vinyl and once I would like to listen to here magical voice live! In my days, Loose Ends was for me "her voice". What became of them? I''m curious.

  • totally agree with you

  • this is real classic sound of the TR-808

  • WOW !!!!! THE 80's WAS THE BEST THE MUSIC I THINK I PARTY EVERY NIGHT OF THE WEEK!!!!!!! STILL GOT U FOR WORK BOY THOSE WERE THE DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • It was crazy back in the 80's In the US it was all about synth funk and the early hip hop. All of that was cool, but when folks came out of Europe it brought us back to the old school with Loose Ends, Sade and a few others. Damn I miss this stuff.

  • it's True...it's crazy, because they brought us back to the old school, but at the same time they were so original...

  • You comment is the truth to me how Europe brought back that classic old school.

  • young tyke on a tricycle bike back then

  • Reminds me of doing 'Top of the Pops' with Amazulu. Loose ends were on it singing this. Memories !!!

  • I was arguing with someone the other day who stated that Loose Ends were derivative, ie , not original. I couldn't disagree more and stated that Loose Ends were responsible for creating a completely original Brit-soul sound, fusing R'n'B with Jazz. It's a shame cos that Brit-soul movement in the 80s is very often excluded from the canon of 80s popular culture. Those that went to Norman Jay's Shake and Fingerpop parties will know what I am talking about.

  • good memories...yeahhh

  • OMG I Love that black hat Jane is wearing. It makes her look like royalty!

  • I couldn't say it any better, the best band ever from the UK.

Check out their first singles, one called "we've arrived", and another I can't remember the title right now, something with fly...., haven't seen it on you tube yet!

These songs made me a fan for life. After those single they started to make it big!

  • I luv this song soo much. You do not hear music like this nowadays instead it's all about sex!

  • So was this song. Slow down, 'cause I can't take the heat. It's about friction, if you know what I mean!

    Sorry, I'll stop.

  • @NoPawn

Nope, it has more of a meaning in terms of being a metaphor than the crap that is out today.

  • I know. That was just my attempt at being funny!

  • Thanks for making me come back to this video to respond, by the way. Gives me a chance to hear this again!

  • This is old skool lets show these brothers and sisters respect. :)
