I think Charlotte Hatherley is a songwriter approaching the top of her game. She also pulled off the masterstroke of having on/off PJ Harvey drummer Rob Ellis play on her debut album. Don't define her by her having been in Ash and particuarly not for her stunning looks - if I hadn't known this was her, and I'd heard it on the radio, I'd have still sought this out and bought a copy. And the lyrics to this song have lifted me in a way words can barely express.
