To clarify, copyright and copyright registration are two different things. Registration does not guarantee you against infringement, but it does help a bit in case of a dispute. I had an infringement case come up and, oddly enough, it was my earlier public presentation of my work, and not specifically the registration of it, that set the judgement of the case in my favor.
And if he has been in the business for so long. Why are some of his comments sounding like a beginner? No offense...but really come on. I have only been in digital media and film since 2000 and even I know better. How is it that a 22 yr vet doesn't?
They are. Works as you make them are copyright to you. And what you stated is what they do. I've watched a few videos by expertvillage. And most of them are filled with flaws and vagueness. If you are an expert there is no room for vague. Vague usually happens when someone writes up something to talk about. When in truth they may not know very much about the given matter. And note i said usually. Some of the speakers may have experience.
Any visual artwork or production is immediately copyrighted. Copyright applies to everything, enforcing it is the variable left up to the owner of the product. The reason people use LOC (in the US) or associations outside the US (who cash in on people's ignorance to IP and copyright law) is because these organisations will SEEK copyright infringements, issue take down notices, or pursue the matter legally for you. But, for all intents and purposes, copyright is effective on completion.
yeah i agree with you because movies are automaticly copyrighted even here on youtube because it says on the code of conduct that your video will be deleted if it copying somebody else unless it contains content created completely by yourself and if you made there should be no problem
