  • I Live For This Performance!!!

  • Oh god, she totally MANGLED the Prophet's song, as if she know anything about what she's singing about smh

  • wunderful - it rocks - love it !!!

  • chant down Rome Sinead

  • great !!! love it!!!

  • This is great.

  • Originality in itself is genius. Peter Tosh is original. Don't forget he is not playing her original song. She finds strength in Rastaman. Thats why on saturday night live when she ripped the Popes picture live on T.V she recited "War" Bob Marley.

She is part of the movement. She is trying to teach White people, but can you see it !

  • She made me cry to this, Ive listen to this song thousands of time and she still gives me shivers. Tosh's talent is indisputable, bless, but she sings it with so much emotion that I think that it carry's more than the original. You should really listen to the version on the album.

  • listen to Roger Waters Pink Floyd - Live in Berlin, where she sings "Mother", amazing^^

  • You know, I'm not mad at her at all cause when you think about it, it's people like her that keeps reggae music alive. Most people (and I'm not trying to start madness but especially black people) run away from music like this. They think Hip Hop is the only music that's out there. Yes ,there are many hip hop artists that love reggae music, but that's on one hand.

  • ok. she should NEVER be allowed to cover tosh. she just isnt at that level...and she is far achieving the power behind those lyrics...fucking weak

  • man this gurl r far more gifted than the tosh u talkin bout, tosh marmers words and he' had no vission wat so ever, he just used the racial drama that was goin on to achieve his lame goals. u wanna c talent have a look at sinead

  • oooh no. PETE TOSH . from the WAILERS...he wasnt talented AT ALL...you my friend . are a fucking idiot if you think she is more talented.

  • learn more about da history behind da 2 artst,

am not sayin tosh was bad artst or he had nothing 2 offer, bu wasn't talented enough 2 compete, u can trace the history of wailers, he was average guy like any other artst out there, nothing was unique about him, but sinead on other hand she's unique, got her own style of music & life style, she stands up and speaks out, tosh was 4 the black and rasta only at da biginin of his career, dat's scheme. he was ina mess after he got separated frm wailers

  • What did u mean by this?

got her own style of music & life style:

Every genre of her songs has been used before.Origanilty creates legendary I cant see her heading there.

What bout lifestyle, she tries everything from Coventry to mental emancipation but you know what, she is still under the yoke like everyone until you push the system, and where will u end up with it?History can tell you better.

  • and what do u get when u speak about the truth as it is:Think of Malcom,Gurvey,Luther etc,u get MESSED up,so live competition out because it doesnt even come close to the original purpose of Rastafarian movement.Talking 'bout talent and creativity, who can you compare with Tosh in the wailers,Bob?! PEACE.

  • @bersanji

Please,if u have personal grudge with Tosh or any of his relations, keep it 2 ur self.Talking 'bout competetion,Tosh's own wasn't for business, Tosh's was guns, bombs, knives and swords against Baylonian(White man)'s oppressive rules and lies for centuries in order to suppress the truth and gain world dominion,

  • Le son est pourri, dommage.

  • I've always loved Sinead. I truly feel that she believes herself to be a Rasta. I just wish that she would grow hair! I can't get past it. It makes her look like a somewhat disturbing little bald man. WTF?!

  • there was actually only one moment when she was out of tune/downpressor man/apart from that her voice was realy good.

  • Nice camera work

  • Great cover of one of Reggaes Best songs ever.

  • C'est une version que j'adore!des intonations émouvantes!

  • you would be lucky to hear sineads voice proper

  • she's out of tune here but you can hear her passion for it.. she just sounds tired

    in general though she's amazing!

  • God you're so sexy

  • Well of course. She aged and she smokes a lot but she's still my favourite female singer out there! I love her! And None a Jah Jah Children no cry is my favourite Reggae song in the world so I am a happy bunny here :)

  • If youlike her work you sholdnt care if she smokes or aged...its stupid

  • totally! People are so ignorant... like everyone is gonna stay young forever. I love Sinead. She's a brilliant artist and a great person... as far as I can tell ;-)

  • Never new she played some of Peter Tosh`s songs,

  • Wow, wow, oflown! Thank you so very much for capturing this absolutely transporting performance. Never mind the dicey visual. After awhile it's just fine and part of the treat. The sound totally rocks. Nice pickup on your camera.

  • oh this was really good

  • and if you make your bed in hell I will be there!

  • God you're so sexy

I feel sometimes really the universal love with you!!

And, yes where do you think you gonna run to?

There is only one way to JAH,GOD,UNIVERSAL MOTHER/LOVE,LUCK!

But of curse try, that's the right of every human being! The only way to learn.

    FEAL THE MOMENT!!

Thanks, of someone who don't know you although I love ya

  • how i can get tthat album, was is it issued on cd?

  • CHECK OUt the scarf. Looks like the same one that was wrapped around the mike in the Saturday Night Live performance of War (Yes that one! There is a clip on youtube). Guess she gets her inspiration from rasta.

  • Ever since I saw Sinead on Wogan, fag in one hand (you could tell she wished it was a spliff) she referred to God as Jah, I new she was an honourary Rasta. Reggae, the only music that talks to everyone and speaks up for the hungry belly pickney and the child with no shoes on him feet.

  • Love this album. Love Sinead.

  • People need to stop hatin'...This is wikidrastawomyn!!!

  • NONE A JAH JAH CHILDREN DON'T CRY!

  • None of Jah Jah By Ras Micheal sounds great with sinead on Vocals!

  • Sinead O'Connor? Now I've seen everything What a pleasant surprise.

  • all reggae is reggae

  • good cover...nice try on video, just glad u captured it at all big up

  • get tosh in instead. she is alright but nowhere near him in this song.

  • you're a douche bag

  • why you compare ?

  • I am really sad about the bad quality cuz downpressor man is my favorite song from her!But thank you for sharing this!!:)))Have a nice day!

  • i prefer the old albums like gospe oak universal mother and faith & courage

  • she does Tosh justice

  • Isn't this song the most terrifying evocation of Judgement Day? And Sinead does it justice!

  • So what kind of music do you not sing Sinead. You break down the barriers. Love it.

  • Thanks you man, great video.

  • Any camera operators out there who resisted skanking along to this amazing music please share your work. Shaaaaky!

  • Throw Down Your Arms is a great album.

  • I totally agree... Very good versions of reggae classic and Sinead sings with heart and humility...

  • Love Sinead Always

  • i am already dead. so don't worry about me...

  • The woman has it all. There's never been anyone like her-she never lets me down. What a talent!

  • YES-I GIVE THANX LIONESS!!!

  • thanks for the clip, i agree, she is great...and to my surprise, i like her singing reggae you know....

  • fabulous! she's always in good condition i guess;)

  • Brilliant...and she picked the best reggae musicians in the world to collaborate with...

  • She really in one of the best singers in the world.

  • I saw Sinead in Cleveland and beleive me she has lost nothing and only zeroed in on her talents and is putting it out there as it should be. That show was incredible....and so is this clip, thanks for getting it out to us!

  • friggin great.

  • sinead is back!

  • Fantastic.

  • Wow, she is GOOD! I had no idea she could sing reggae...right on, Sinead!!

  • Some voices just aren't meant to be recorded. You could never record a voice like hers and capture the power and beauty. I've seen her live and it blew me away.

  • This clip proves that her voice is every bit as powerful as it was on "The Lion and the Cobra."

She's lost NONE of her power, she's just been suppressing it in all these years.

  • i was at sheperds bush concert 2005 and i was amazed.her voice was even better than on lion and the cobra.clearer and in control.she knows how to operate it now .i cant wait to buy theology and listen to "job"song.

  • apparently she was told early on to just sing 'naturally'...you can hear she has no 'accent' when she sings like Bono etc. Her voice is really Irish, she sings in the style of ballad singers...it gies her the spirit and control...that's my theory anyway!! she's great

  • men usually drive us mad. women drive us mad. the world drives us mad. life drives us mad.

  • Shes as mad as a hatter but she bangs out a tune wether it be reggae or folk.

  • i dunno bout her singing anymore she always sounds like she's struggling however she's a quality performer and as gorgeous as ever

  • I dunno 'bout that, but i know If you take in consideration (thoughtful and sympathetic regard) the fact that i was recording this with the lowest quality, to stretch the storage capabilities of my memory card, the sound is not as good as it could be. But just being there and having it 'on tape' is f***ing superb! ;)

  • Good job m8!

  • fucking unreal....just when I thought she wasn't her strongest at the "run to the rocks" part, then she goes and blows my mind with the rest...thats my girl
