Compustrike fails to mention that most of Sonnen's strikes were in the 3rd round & were completely ineffective from full guard - Sonnen won the 3rd 10-9... no doubt. But Bisping's wrestling defence, clinch control (reversing Chael against the cage several times) & winning the striking exchanges in the center means Bisping won the 1st two rounds 10-9.
i actually had sonnen 1st and 3rd, when he took down twice in the first round, he did connect a few times, and had more octagon control in the 1st round, and connected a few punches standing up, bisping 2nd and sonnen 3rd

UFC on FOX 2 was one of the worst sets of fights I've seen in a while, but it doesn't matter, because that's how fighting goes sometimes. Most hardcore fans agree, though, it wasn't a very exciting or entertaining fight. Also, no one likes seeing top fighters get robbed of title shots (Bisping). Rashad dominated. Also, I had a feeling the Maia fight would be the sleep-fest.

Compustrike fails to mention that most of Sonnen's strikes were in the 3rd round & were completely ineffective from full guard - Sonnen won the 3rd 10-9... no doubt. But Bisping's wrestling defence, clinch control (reversing Chael against the cage several times) & winning the striking exchanges in the center means Bisping won the 1st two rounds 10-9.

This probably has more to do with peoples high expectations of Sonnen and Bisping being under-rated, but lets get real... Jayson Miller put Bisping through a much more excruciating challenge just 2 months ago, and Mayhem Miller fought the exact same fight style and plan that Sonnen did...

UFC on FOX 2 was one of the worst sets of fights I've seen in a while, but it doesn't matter, because that's how fighting goes sometimes. Most hardcore fans agree, though, it wasn't a very exciting or entertaining fight. Also, no one likes seeing top fighters get robbed of title shots (Bisping). Rashad dominated. Also, I had a feeling the Maia fight would be the sleep-fest.
