Bruising after jamming the finger is not normal…this could indicate a chip fracture.

I went to the doctors for a jammed finger, he didn't take an X-ray and assumed it was jammed. It's been a year and it's still crooked and swollen.. I need to go back to the doctors... :|

I jammed my big toe in gym today can't walk

One of the times that I "jammed" a finger in highschool, turned out to be permanent damage to the cartilage and/or bone and a torn and disconnected tendon. I now have a permanently partially bent finger at the last joint, and the tendon didn't heal correctly, so I can't straighten out my finger without using my other hand.

Just while playing catch with a football in my neighbor's yard.

@jettmanas umm you should put ice on it for 10 minutes then wrap a little gauz around it then make it rest

@jettmanas well you could make your finger move around and try pulling it up but if it hurts try not to pull it too hard
