Yeah, it is pretty scary. I'd have the say that the one that scared me the most is probably either System Shock 2 or possibly the first Silent Hill. Amnesia and the Penumbra series are good, too.

I'm sick of people saying resident evil and silent hill are scarier than this game. nothing against SH or RE at all...its just this gae is the reason any other horror series doesnt bother me to play...

I'm sorry to say it, but I personally think that Silent Hill (the first and perhaps the second) are scarier than Condemned: Criminal Origins. However, the acting in first Silent Hill was terrible. As for Resident Evil, I really haven't played them but they don't seem all that scary from what I've seen of them.

But, yeah, your first horror game will usually scare you a lot more than others. For me it was System Shock 2.

i played this game over and over and over when it first came out. this has got to be the ONLY game that actually scares me at times. makes me scared to turn each corner. most games can't do that to me. the part where the guy pops out at you from the locker scared me shitless. & thomas needs to cut his nails.
