Dam, can't believe that skater didn't sue! I wouldda been seing $ symbols before I hit the hedge. Turn that situation around and a cop would convict you of assault, resisting arrest and you would pay at least $1000 in compensation for 'damages'. it would have been much different if she would have nightsticked him or something but it was a small shove. people think they are completely protected by their rights... wrong. they might have been told before not to skate there, or maybe something else happened. it always seems like the video only shows the worst part of the situation. if it were me, i would stick to a skatepark and not intentionally break the law. you might as well spit in a cops face.

the amount of force used is completely up to the officer. now i'm not saying there weren't other ways to resolve this but in no way is this excessive. put yourself in her shoes, she is faced with 2 full grown men. as a cop, you need to take control of the situation as quickly as possible and she did that. what if she would have started writing a ticket and one of the guys would have bashed her face with the skateboard? i know that didnt happen but when you are in a dangerous career you learn...
