  • this was my ballet recital music

  • Im going to my first pointe shoe fitting friday :DDD

  • WOW I am obsessed with pointe I love this video so much I have watched it about a million times! Lol

  • The lady who is fitting her pointe shoes- looks young and pretty but notice her hair- shes bald!!

  • wat is the song called when you are sitting in the car? great feet!!!

  • sorry to break the subject, but u kinda look like Bianca from Degrassi :)

  • wow thats soooooooooooo cheep, in england its like £200!! JELOUS ♥♥♥♥

  • I agree with you Australia is so expensive but I love Bloch shoes! Especially balance european

  • You're feet are insanne!

  • Omg only $82.50 for all of that!!! Here in Australia for a pair of my bloch pointe shoes it's about $100 and ouch pouches are around $40!! And you think you cringe!!

  • hahaha "you're welcome, get a job"

  • Very nice! 'These's are the winners, dududa!'

  • i got my first pair of pointe shoes today! i was super excited until they told me the price..haha but i'm still excited

  • Hahaha the price makes my mom cringe too. 3 or 4 months later when I need a new pair because my old ones are dead my mom says "But we just got you new ones!"

Why do you need to get new toe pads? I have had mine for a year. I don't really see anything wrong with them. Unless u know something I don't. :D

  • @theepictalent I started cleaning my grandma's house... and now IIIIIIIIIII cringe at the cost. Cause my mom tells me I'm paying for all my new stuff, costumes and all that good stuff lol but then I get what I want no matter the cost :) She just drives.

  • I wish i can go en pointe now ): this will be my second year in dance, my teacher says that with my work ethic and how i am so focussed abd determined in class, and how i correct my mistakes and follow her corrections i may go en pointe very soon... I just wish i can go on now ):

  • I'm getting mine tomorrow.

  • i wish i could get on pointe

  • a very humorous way to show a very grueling retail experience.

  • a very humorous way to show a very grueling retail experience.

  • Thanks for sharing. lol Your mom is great.

  • do you still dance? I've worn out two pairs of pointe shoes in six months that's a pair every three months.

  • How do u know if your pointe shoes are to small??

  • the colors of those ar really pretty

  • You're welcome.

    Get a job.

    :D

  • Lol, your mom sounds exactly like mine. It's almost scary how alike they sound xD

  • Russian pointes?! Those are so pretty! I+ve always wanted those, but I am just a beginner and I don't know if those are good for me. How lonf have you been dancing in pointe?

  • What size are your feet?

  • how do you deal with bunions on pointe? do you wear spacers?

i was told that i was most likely not aloud to get russian pointes because of my bunions.

  • Gawd bless freeloaders!!!!!!!!!!

  • you have big feet. What is your shoe size?

  • where exactly is that shop ??

  • Is it just me or do you have huge feet?

  • Just after two minutes at the Branock device those big toes are not in line with the medatarsel bone. One would wonder if such a deformity would serrously affect ones ability to do pointe.

  • lol...your mom is funnnny

  • did anyone ever address that huge hallux varus of your left foot?

  • what kind of shoes????

  • 82.50 isn't a bad price for pointe shoes plus everything else you got. My Gaynors are 144 a pair since I live in Canada :(

  • @Dancer1590 seriously??? Wow, I only pay 50 for my shoes usually...

  • @narniaprincess05 Yeah they are super expensive for some reason, mostly because I get a lot of custom things put on them

  • @Dancer1590 yeah, it's expencive in Canada (N)

  • if u start at the age of 13 with no expierence of ballet can you still get en pointe?

  • yes, you may not be on until your older, but u probably will still go en pointe

  • I'm starting at 20 and I'm going en pointe this summer! :)

  • it went great i had my first class yesterday it kind of hurt.. a lot but it was really fun

  • Im 15 and started ballet in late August. How long would it take me to get on point? I take ballet 2 times a week.

  • where do u take ballet lessons? :) just curious.

  • depends on how strong u r..and ur dance teacher

  • it all depends on when your dance teacher thinks your ready and how strong your feet are you shouldn't go on pointe till you've been told you can by your teacher

  • this was fun. i love hoe you shoed your proses. i just got my firstpoint shoes. and my mom said everyone in the store was looking at me because i was the olny one who was tring on point shoes. lol

  • Does anyone know what" Act" this song is from in Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake? Oh btw, can't hear anything but the price of the shoes at the end of this video. But at least the music was great to listen to.

  • oh those are easy to make i make like alot of those!!!!

  • no offense but this wasnt very informative, the music was going over everything the fitter was saying

  • Jeez $82.50, mine were $83.00 you're lucky!!! My shoes cost $67.50 and I had to get like 20 dollar toe pads. At the store I go to they gave me free ribbons and elastics!!!

  • This camera makes you guys sound like you ALL have lisps. lol. No offense if you all do, D: Just figured like it was just the camera.

im nervous ,excited and i would like to know wat would i exspect from my 1st class??

    plz answer a.s.a.p

  • have you dtarted yet this is my 4th year

  • dont buy wooden point shoes. i know

  • i meant the little tan socks

  • what are those things you put on your feet before anything those tan things

  • Those are peds.

  • You totally have my dream job! I just wish my dance supply store wasnt a 20 minute drive to the city.

  • how old do you have to be to go on pointe?

  • i think normally 11 to 12. i might get pointe this coming year. i am 11.

  • It depends on your strength and how long you've been dancing. A 16 year old just starting ballet will not automatically be put en pointe.

A girl who has been dancing since early childhood will most likely be put en pointe between the ages of 10 and 12, 10 being definitely on the young side.

  • there is really no age.

it all depends on strength - if you are using the thigh, rear and core muscles, if your ankles and feet are strong enough, if you have enough stability on demi pointe

also it has to do with bone development. its not safe for younger girls, as it could damage the development of their bones and tendons in the feet and ankles.

  • yer no age :) my friend has been doing ballet for 8 or more years, and she is now coming up 14 and still wont get en pointe until late this year. its not the she is strong enough, its because she had to change teachers. she would have been on pointe allready. i wanna start :( im working on the parents ;) lol. x x x chloe x

  • It's nothing to do with age, it's to do with bone development and strength.

  • oh! my last pair was polette and i liked them before they made my foot knuckle

  • holy crap! hampton nh?????????? omg!!! i live 45 minutes from there!!!!! my god!!! and also ur mom is funny!

    ur welcome. get a job.

  • You should come by Twinkle Toes sometime! I work there Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

  • Hey um i think its the first song that played in this vid i think its in the nut cracker but whats the name and whos the other??

    thnx Bye

  • i just got my first pair of shoes last weekend and my fitting was nothing like this. she asked what size shoe i wear in street shoes then she put a few on me and sent me off...my right foot is bigger then my left so its really uncomfortable. they wont even let me return them :(

  • $82.50? Ugh my pointe shoes alone are $113....

  • This was a great video thanks for sharing

  • we are not allowed to use padding in our pointe shoes ! it hurts :-(

  • Thats not right. Your should be alowed to wear padding. With some teachers that think it will make you stronger by not using padding, Thats not true. It will only make you more fearfull for going en pointe and not want to do it.

  • but she told us that we needed to get thik skin on our feet so that it would be better to dance in the future :-P

but i tried to put paper inside the shoes at home, and I didn't feel a thing :o

( sorry about my bad english x[)

  • Yea thats not true. and its bad tht your teacher makes you do that. You can have strong feet and durable skin even with pads. Even the professionals who started like that and use pads still get blisters and such. so its not doing any good. =/ But thats good. If you need some padding, you can buy some of the loose cotton stuffing from craft stores, the things they use to stuff pillows with. I found that it helps reduce the shock on your toes also. :)

  • haha, i think it would be a little hard to sneak in 2 pieces of cotton every ballet lesson x)

  • haha ^_^ not really just put the cotton in your shoes before you go to class and put them on like normal...Unless your teacher checks ...then thats even more stupid :P

  • you should get lambs wool it's not padding and it works!! ;)

  • i asked my teacher, and she said no x) haha

  • i always thought they came with ribbons on em. LOL

  • Hey guys, I have some exciting news! I am now working at Twinkle Toes! Can you say, dream job? Hahaha. Hopefully, I'll be able to get a video up of a day in the store with my boss, Patti (whose name I spelled wrong in the video).

  • I'll do that when I get my next pair!

  • thanks! i'm geting mine soon and i need to know how to do that....lol...thanks! good video too! :-D

  • Don´t care about it cause I am a man who consider any woman with bigger feet than mine special and supreme ones.My feet is only about 8.8 inches long.Surely yours are longer than mine.

  • Haha thanks!

  • you have big feet!

    no offensee!

    not trying to be mean.

  • Haha, none taken. I do have very large feet, but hey, more to love!

  • did you go to nhapa or steppin out? cuz i recognize your jacket from somebody! anyways your at twinkle toes lol, had to say that, btw cya at bne your gonna love it!

  • Yay! I know someone at BNE now! I go to Steppin' Out. And yes, I'm at my favoritest store in the WHOLE WIDE WORLD... Twinkle Toes!

  • ohh cool! wait who do you know at bne i prolly no them and do you know shannon anderson cuz shes on of my friends!

  • I don't know anyone there. That's why I'm so happy I finally know someone, lol.

  • OMG yours are so cheap, mine cost $90 without ribbons or elastic or anyhting, $120 all together..

  • Ouch! Yeah the store I go to sells them for a great price.

  • Comment removed

  • My Blochs costed 141 dollars. : /

And I even got them a little bit cheaper because it was a spot on the left shoe..

  • Jeez, that's REALLY expensive, even for pointe shoes.

  • 82.50 not bad. my ballet slippers were 40 dollars then ihad to to get new stretch pants for figure skateing. and i needed leotard and tights and a pair of shorts. so mine cam eo tabout 110dollars with a 10 percent discount. I use ellmans dancewear

  • Mine always get so dirty and worn too. It must be the floor or I must really wear them out. How long does a pair of yours last?

  • Mine last about two months.

  • Fortunately I never really had a problem breaking in pointe shoes. I use Bloch Sonatas and I feel they are a good fit for me and I feel they are easy to break in. I also wore Grishko Maya for a while and they were harder to break in. My hands hurt forever after breaking them in!

  • I broke in my old Blochs by hand, which was very easy, but my now new-ish ones are not designed to break in by hand, so it just takes a lot of barre work.

And I know how you feel about those Grishkos!

  • That's strange, because I wore Sonatas for a while, and they took me forever to break in! Even once I resorted to breaking them in by hand, they never quite got there.

I guess different feet break shoes in faster, huh? haha.

  • Haha yeah I suppose. Of course, it also depends on the shoes you get too.

  • wow!!!! i love the combination white ribbons with pink pointe's!!!!! soo cool!!!

  • Thanks!

  • I hate breaking in pointe shoes too. But oddly enough I got the same brand of pointe shoes as you did. although our models are different. You have Polette I have Entrada. I know what kind of shoes I can have in Russian POinte. hehehe.

  • Ugh, I know it sucks! This is the first time I've gotten Russian Pointe. I've been using Bloch for a while. I like Russian Pointe a lot, so far though!

  • cool video! the lady who did the fitting seems very good!

  • She's awesome. I love that store!

  • youre welcome!get a job:))hahaha:))

  • Haha yeah that's Mama for ya.

  • Pretty pointe shoes!

  • Thanks! I love pointe shoes when they're new... I just hate breaking them in!
