So, you were referring to the books as a comparison. Of course then I rarely saw a movie which was better than the original book. Growing up I saw war movies,cowboys.I read liturature non-stop but not until age 30 did I realize that women authors are so great and 27 years later mainly read them modern or past ages.

Maybe (as a woman )you don't understand romance. I watched them 3 times AND the other versions.All have their good points but I loved Persuasion by Sally Hawkins best.

I've read all three books extensively; I understand plenty enough. The adaptations (aside from Northanger Abbey) were not very good. They were each done on the cheap by ITV and it showed - they chopped and changed loads from the respective source material; they even mucked up Anne's wonderful speech on constancy!

This trailer was the high point in the ITV Austen season.

However, I do appreciate your comments. :)

@wessexuality You can see the cheapness of ITV in their choice of actors. Note how unattractive they are.
