Also, domesticated skunks make better pets than wild ones, because they are tame and not inclined to be destructive.
I suspect these were very young skunks still in a family unit who may not even have developed the ability to spray yet. I've known of people capturing a baby and taking it to the vet to have it debagged and keeping it as a pet. They make very good pets. Did you notice that each skunk has its own unique markings? Gorgeous animals.

Often, dry cat food causes issues with skunks. It causes them to get brittle bones, kindney problems and have all sorts of other issues. We fed ours "Petunia" and "Pepe" and dry cat food killed them. The raccoons however, love to wash food, so they started making soup with the cat food and bowl of water we left out for them. Since the bbig LA station fire, we have not seen skunks or raccoons often.

50shoe...they are noctural....but food is food and I'll bet their home is VERY close by. If you do happen to see them wandering in the daytime...disoriented...check the weather...is it extremely hot? thats pretty awesome. I have a number of bird/ground feeders set out in my yard. I get many squirrels/finches/doves.Even the occasional Red Tail Hawk that likes to dine on the doves, which is completely incredible to watch. Nothing like you have here though.

A friend of mine has a huge raccoon family that comes daily and she uses dog food for her visitors.
I have a coon and possum that come here to tidy up after the birds and skwerls. They have whatever the other guys didn't eat.

One lived under the old garage apartment I stayed in after my dad had a stroke. She took right up with my pit pull, who thought that he was the guardian of everything smaller than he was!
She had little ones, and they took up with Brutus the pit bull! After she kicked them out the nest. They followed that bull dog every where he went! Funniest thing you ever saw!

one time i got into a fight with a skunk, he tried to spray me, and i was like hey, i mean i didn't even do anything to him. whatever, i think he was just in a bad mood that day.. i mean... i know lots of skunks.. they are very nice aminals.. all of them... i think this guy was just a bad skunk or something .. kinda like my cousin mr furry flatterbab fur fur... hes not a nice raccoon... he doesn't recycle.

Pet skunks are not skunks that have been taken out of the wild and descented.
Pet skunks are a domesticated bread that has been around for over 100 years. They have been bread so long that they now come in several colors, not just black/white!

You can have an operation done on them where they remove the stink glans and they have nothing to spray, and a lot of people have themas pets...
