I think people need to realise that dunking a basketball is powering it downwards through the basket. You do not have to touch the rim.

Furthermore, I think all the keyboard warriors just need to take the time to appreciate the athleticism to not only leap above the rim, but to actually get high enough to be able to fully extend your arm and throw the ball through the rim. That takes rediculous hops, as Dwight proved with that DUNK.
