Edelbrook make a great low psi (thus reliable) charger that will take it to 465hp, somewhat more expensive than some of the ken belles and roosh chargers but the technology is great. Plus it looks call. If you want more info, contact me on brit-cars.
it's a shame that Rover never used the more powerful Mustang engines as stock. I believe the 390 hp Cobra engine was available at around the time these came out; if not, then at least the 320 hp version. Now, Ford has a new 5.0 engine with 410 hp alongside the 550 hp Shelby Cobra and Rover's Chinese owners seem to have their heads up their ass! Perhaps someone could reproduce these cars in limited numbers using the new Cobra engine--700 + reliable horsepower can be made by upgrades.
@jackson6027 yes, I am getting a little ahead of myself, LOL. I had hopes that this car would make it to the US since Ford had stated that its own rwd performance sedan, the Australian-built Falcon, could not (supposedly) meet the US's standards (safety, not emissions). I am guessing that Rover could have sold quite a few of these here. There is still some hope as Rowe has continued making the 7 sedan, albeit with fwd, but we can all hope....
Hi the Corvett is faster than a M3 on acceleration his mate has one and the Corvett leaves it for dead but not on bends, The MG ZT 260 no ,[ The 500 B.H.P MG ZT is faster]
I new it was faster it is over 120 B.H.P more he is my best mate and we had just left Oulton Park he cannot keep up with me when the road as bends in it, I was going fot a Monaro but went for the zt better handling, i have other cars and bikes i just love zt it always puts a smile on your face ,very reliable and well put together, it not all about speed, i went for the ZT after being in a 420 b.h.p ZT that was faster than a Manaro and a 500 b.h.p
Sorry but the corvett is a lot faster got gain car lenghts in seconds takes power!!

Hi Audi cost alot more+turbo+4.w.d, and they are a out and out sports saloon 400 b h p, my zt 280 b h p. A mate had a rs4 gave him loads of problems

Went to Dreadnaught last year and went out in the 400 BHP ZT Road car, That is a fast car.
