Great just love this idea...however does the foam that you use hold the color of the ink? and will it affected the next color stamped? so if you use black ink ans stamp..then the same stamp with yellow ink will the previous black color come out onto the yellow stamped image?Thank you ...can't wait to see more videos..hugs Deb
@1sweetbonbon Thanks for your comments :-) The glass is not sharp. The edges have been smoothed out so they are dull and safe to handle :-) TFW Hugs Leanne :-)
@yknowgirl Soap and water works well to clean off distress ink, but I also use stamp cleanser for pigment inks. I also rub the stamp on an old towel to help get off the ink. TFW Leanne ;-)
@cass2sons I bought my foam from the dollar store...so it’s a bit thinner and easier to stretch and wedge into the punch. Just another tip...if you sandwich the foam with thin paper and put it into the punch, it’s easier to cut through. I hope this helps. Take care and have fun scrappin! Hugs ~ Leanne :-)
@Luvleescrappin Hi, thank you for getting back to me so quickly and the tip. I will try it out. Also, I wanted to ask what kind of foam did you use for the homemade blending tool you made? Thank you so much!
@titiaa24 Yes...soap and water works well to clean off distress ink, but I also use stamp cleanser for pigment inks. I also rub the stamp on a towel. TFW Leanne ;-)
Thanks, got to love youtube videos! I tried this with smaller die cuts but now have to try this great idea. What did you use for blending inks? Do you have different one for each color? I tried making my own from felt like stick-ons used for under chair legs not to scratch floor & attached them to used up glue sticks
I have been playing with this idea but gave up as the foam kept getting stuck in the punch. Your vid made me determined to crack it, and I have just found that if you put a piece of thin paper on both sides of the foam it stops the foam sticking in the punch! I'm going to be using perspex cut from the broken window fo my kids' playhouse and have a piece of geometric scrapbook paper as the template. Thanks for the inspiration & saving me the £10 it would have cost for a polka dot punch.
@TiaraHelen Thanks so much for your kind comment :-) I'm so glad you like this idea! I love your idea of sandwiching the foam with paper!!!! Great thinking!!! :-D Take care!!! Hugs ~ Leanne :-)
@craftymama2007 Hi there! Thank you so much for watching my videos. I used glue (Tombo Mono: Metal Liquid Glue...it's my favorite...it works on everything!!!! Lol) :-)
Terrific technique..I used the Cricut to cut out some foam shaped..and it worked okay, too ..as long as it was too intricate..I just used some heavy acrylic to back it on... gladd makes me nervous.. ( I could see a trip to the ER, hee hee)... now to pull out my punches!! TFS...
@L0vFunnieThings Hi there! Thanks so much for your comment! I spray the stamps with my water mister and rub it on a rag. The distress inks come off great! I sometimes use my Inkssentials stamp cleaning spray for other inks. They clean quite nice!!! I was pleasantly surprised lol! I hope you give it a try! ~ Leanne :-)
@Gabbtz Yes it's glass (see part 2 for details on the glass). It won't brake as long as I put even pressure on it and avoid pressing hard. I sometimes leave the stamp on the table and put my paper on top of it, then I use my brayer over top. Let me know if you have any further questions :-) thanks so much for watching!
Well, I got some foam..and it's toooo thick for my punches...I got it at Michaels..did you get your foam from the dollar store? Hope your having a great day!
@HomeMadeMama81 Yes...I got my foam from the dollar store (it's a bit thinner than the Fun Foam from Michaels). It's a tight fit when pulling it into the punch, but it works. Let me know if you have any more questions. Hope you had a great wknd!! Take care :-)
For the frame that has the EK punch...did you layer them twice as well?? I would think that wouldn't be enough..wait did you use paper or foam for that one?? I LOVE this video.. I have watched it a few times and am inspired all over again each time i watch. I can't wait to see more videos!!
@HomeMadeMama81 Yes I used foam for all 3 stamps and double layered them all too. I'm glad you like this idea!!! Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks for watching! ;-)
@Luvleescrappin I never thought of using foam with my punches...hmmm...guess it doesn't make them dull. how do you store your glass stamps? It would be great to see a video of your scrap space. My DH turned our very small 1/2 bathroom in to a scrap spot for me..space is very limited.. will have to upload a video of that soon.. kinda funny.. toilet and sink still installed..(of course turned off)
@HomeMadeMama81 Well...I think if I used foam with my punches too often, they would probably get dull. Right now I store my stamps in drawers (in one of those tall sterilite drawer units). At this time, my scraproom is being shared with the spare bedroom (actually...I think I've taken over the spare bedroom hahaha). Still... space is a bit limited. Wow...I would love to see how you have utilized the space you have for scrappin...we gotta make do with what we have...right??? LOL :-)
@sharonsscrappyspace I spray the stamps with water then carefully scrub it with a cloth. I found the distress inks wash off great this way. Other inks may need the use of a stamp cleanser such as the Rangers-Inkssentials or Hero Arts cleansers :-)
@mackfanforlife The edges aren't sharp at all. I bought glass picture frames (they are just glass and a wood backing with metal clips to hold the glass in place...so the edges come smooth). Hope that answers your question. Let me know if you have any further questions...I would be happy to answer :-) Thanks so much for watching!!!
WOAH ur awesome!!! i don't live in us so they don't have micheals here or anything but now i cn just make them myself YEAH ur a super hero! :D

That's such a cool idea but all I could think of while you were stamping was "Is she going to cut herself?" You are clever to have thought of this!

Can I just use hard peice of plastic instead of glass? It is fexible, thus making it easier to stamp each unit one by one
