Jan is a great name and most sertainly a racing hero!! dj4 monie you dont take the right context in mind, its about racing legends or heroes what you will.

Agreed, DJ, it's not the same definition as a war hero. A racing hero is just a talented driver behind the wheel. People look up to him as a smart calculated brilliant strategist with stellar car control, always on top of things, and good representation of his native land. It's about honor, glory, and fulfulling your dreams. Look into the eyes of Andy Wallace who raced Le Mans for the first time in 1988 and won it with Jan.

Hero? The man drives race cars for a living, that is not a definition of a "hero". Great driver, nice man Jan, but no HERO. He didn't save anybody's life or give back to the poorest people of his country. That defines somebody has a Hero... My goodness we throw that word around too easy and always seem to put it on sporting achievements.
