When Plainview Old Bethpage did this musical in 2000, we had to invert the swastika. It was still recognizable, but not as offensive.

I can't imagine what else you had to change if the people in charge were worried about the swastika. Was Fraulein Kost a masseuse and not a prostitute?

And even though it was recognizable, the fact that it was inverted made it less offensive. I'm not sure how that makes sense.

@Circadrum16 Neither am I honestly, but whatever. The rest of the show was left in tact. It was just because we work in a heavily Jewish community and we didn't want to offend anyone.
