Lady Gaga is a money making machine. With industry cads, she aims at the lowest common denominator to make SO MUCH cash, not caring for millions of teeny kids she messes up in the process. That's the contract with the devil anyway, one goes with the other.

While Roisin & Moloko made some of the best dance, house & quality European soul pop of some time. They have some great musical credentials in a lot of their songs, top notch. Also some house remixes are all-time classic house

< I'm not a wild out & out fan of Moloko for the sake of it - some edges to their songs aren't my cup of tea - not all tracks are first rate, like this track isn't great to me, it's a bit weird indie-angst in character for me, lacking the positivity I find in other songs. But they have made many more great tracks than I think any other band or singer in some time.

Re. Lady Gaga - I found a great electro house remix of Paparazzi by Dave Aude (in Youtube). The remix is really well done.But still I can't listen to it after 2 goes, because Gaga's voice, isolated, just sounds like a call for money, nothing to do with the spirit of house music, or aware adulthood for that matter.

I guess little kids hearing that want the same! They think that's what is.

@dyonne The matter of the discussion is not really about their music and creative process. That would be insane, being that Róisin is an estabilished artist and Lady Gaga is what we could call a 'newbie'. There's no grounds for comparison in that aspect.

The problem is Lady Gaga is stealing Róisín Murphy's style as an artist, not musician, and claiming it as her own, making people believe she's the most original artist of the decade (some even say of the 21st century).

It is true that is difficult to be original nowadays, since almost everything has already been made. But that's no excuse, if someone is, indeed, stealing ideas, clothing and/or views.
