  • This is one great album completely overlooked....Richard Page is perfect fit to these songs! Wish him and Patrick Leonard would do more coz honestly I don't like Page's solo efforts.

  • I love both Toy Matinee and 3rd Matinee, but I would have to say my favourite still is the Toy Matinee album. It has a little more edge to it's songs, it's less serious and more playful. And of course... Kevin Gilbert - one of my favorite singers of all time. Still 3rd Matinee is a 5/5.

  • Richard Page's voice is so sensual!

  • From Wikipedia: "In 1997, he turned down an offer from Leonard to record a second Third Matinee album."

  • Wow! This is Great, Can we hear More?

  • RICHARD PAGE is the most under rated musician ever! he is way better than the majority of singers then and now!!!!! Shame on the industry for failing to realise immense talent! Grr!

  • I LOVE Kevin Gilbert and miss him dearly, but I think Patrick Leonard deserves more love for these projects. I have been listening to Meanwhile for 20 years now..and it is still sooo powerful. I wish Pat would do another one..with Richard too!!!! Come on Pat!!! we know how amazing you are!!!!!

  • I pulled this out of mothballs within a day or two after 9/11 and listened to it again. It was damned near unbearably poignant.

Great song. "They just don't write 'em like that anymore".

  • I prefer both!!! I love Toy and 3rd. Both amazing projects!!!

  • Richard Page is so hot, and such a good vocalist (and bassist too!)

  • Toy Matinee and Third Matinee are on different levels. But personally I prefer Toy... :)

  • You took the words out of my pocket. 3rd seems to be slightly more low key compared to the larger scope and expressiveness of Toy.

  • Kevin Gilbert, Patrick Leonard, Richard Page, Tim Pierce, can't go bad with this lineup. Reminds one of Sting or Peter Gabriel. Most underrated album of the time it was produced. $3.99 cut out CD was the steal of the century! "Meanwhile" by 3rd Matinee (album title/cut).

  • Such a joy to hear this song...I LOVED this album (still do)...a masterpiece that rivals even my favorite Todd Rundgren (no small feat)...thank you Richard and company...meanwhile, it's never over...

  • Beautiful song. So wonderfully crafted.

    Great chord progressions, excellent voice.

    Love it. ......

  • michael mc.donald, darryl hall, paul carrack, richard page. excellent singers!!

  • Mr. Mister was great...and Richard Page is also very nice...what a great song !!

    Thanks for this video !
