  • This movie is pure beauty!

  • superbe movie, truly the best of 2007 and what a daunting score, just perfect.

  • try reading the book.. it's so wel written it takes you so far into dyscription of objects that you can smell its perfume.. for me the story is about a guy who's been denied time after time, from birth till he creats the perfume and than "kills himself for recognition" (this one is art)

  • I freaking miss this... A really well thought picture :)

  • alan rickman !

  • this is one of the most wonderful movies i've ever seen!! it shows us that each one of us finally takes what (s)he deserves concerning their actions!!

  • Great Movie!

  • thats so wrong! :p

  • The movie is GREAT

  • i actually loved this movie

  • The best way to end an epic trailer is to zoom in to someone's nostril.

  • who else is reading this for english class? XD

  • @Morgananderson83 hi morgan, yes im reading this for english class XD (creepin from the other side of the classroom)

  • ipeepo

  • I like the shirtless bit.

  • I can't believe they put boobs in a movie trailer

  • I couldn't take my evening wank after this :(

  • The best movie ever. Ever. Ever. Watched it when it first came out and I've watched it for 235654325 times and it is always perfect as the first time.

  • @MrsBrainstitch bullshit, unless if you like seeing girls being smashed in their heads and boiled in hot water by a skinny ugly grease haired pervert who wins in the end despite killing all the girls. not to mention the disgusting fuck fest in the end

  • Spoiler alert... -_-

  • @dividednation44 There's a bit different idea in the movie..

  • @dividednation44 For me, Grenouille's purpose was to create a perfume that would prove to be so intoxicating, that all who came within its vicinity would be overwhelmed with passion & love by its very smell. Maybe then he wouldn't be shunned, as he had been his whole life. It was a movie more about the sensuality of a human being, and what they are willing to do to posses it, rather than just blood and gore. In the end, his masterpiece proved too much for one man alone to handle

  • @purealba01 i agree with you and he didn't even seem to regret it..

  • i want to watch this sooooo badly!

  • Wat a movie I watched it like 4 times never gets old

  • ,hh,

  • Way to finish a trailer--by diving into a guy's nose.

  • I actually really enjoyed this movie, I also loved the book; it's interesting, original and it keeps your attention right to the end. One word of advice though, if any part of this movie confuses you or you find anything strange (and trust me there are plenty of moments like that) don't tell any obsessive fans. I know all fans aren't like this, most are great, but the manics will rain their arty "you didn't get the message you cretin" vengeance upon you if you question this movie.

  • I don't like it, although I like historical-based movies. I thought that it was much more interesting, but to me it was a bit too much boring. It would be much, much better if the story was about a man who makes a death perfume, or the perfume of life.

  • @NenadlPopovic i think the movie's concept is better than making perfume of death or life

  • this movie is great but.. the book is even better.

  • Eaten by a bunch of people, that is how the film ends :)

  • I really enjoyed the movie, even though the main actor is a creepy fucker, always sweaty, greasy and fucking disgusting. But damn the end was horrible. Most of americas' movies have horrible ends, but this was exceptionaly bad.

  • BestBuyFragrance dotcom has the best deals on wholesale designer fragrances with no minimum order!! Check it out!

  • this is just one of the movies that get stuck in your mind....

  • I think the trailer is a little too spoiling.

  • whats the thingy that he scrapes on the skin the 1 that looks like shampoo

  • @thephyll09 Lard.

  • one of the best movies , books ever created.

  • I've never been so terrified of a baby in my life...

  • Lol. i thought the baby wanted someone else to pick his/her nose.

  • amazing book:)

  • RACHEL HURD WOOD WOOHOO! LOL

  • still i like the book better. i somehow picture Grenouille as Vincent Sinclair in house of wax. It's funnier this way ;)

  • when i watched this movie i really cant forget it even if i want to!!

  • I need this for an A-level exam

  • @Marks712 then i wish i had your teacher

  • Great book and film, though quite disturbing! As a French-speaker though I think it's unfortunate they didn't ask a French person how you pronounce grenouille - it's like gruh-nooy, not gruh-nwee.

  • @orlando098 Il a bien prononce, ecoute encore une fois =)

  • It truly psychologically makes sense that a serial killer operates on the drive that motivates them. Sometimes they think they murder for a good cause. Others kill for the pleasure of it. And we see in this film that a young man's drive to simply to smell and be satisfied. That can be truly horrific.

  • AXE EXCITE???????

  • jean-baptiste grenouille.

  • i soooooooooooooo love this movie <3

have seen it ages ago and still love it <3

    tres genial et aimable <3

  • lol. Still can't picture the Professor Snape actor on any other movie.

  • @GuruOfGreatness he's a fantastic actor & was doing great things yeras before Harry Potter. Watch Truly madly Deeply to see him at his very best.

  • @GuruOfGreatness mr. ollivander is the narrator too lol.

  • @GuruOfGreatness ever see die hard?

  • fantastic movie, never have i seen such obsession for a person who wanted a smell of his own

  • I really want to watch this, purely for the orgy scene ;)

  • i want to watch this again help mo to find the link !! please

  • I so love the movie, it is with the finest details filmed.

Love him as actor; so many expressions with his face without speaking..only a great actor can do that!

  • ~This story has intrigued me for years. I am just now understanding the point. The moral of this story is that he obtains this power, and his reward for his efforts is nothing but heart break. The reason being' .. he has the inability to love or to be loved...So' with all his hard work he still ends up with nothing.. because he could not love. Love is the answer.

  • oooooh....creeepy

Alan Rickman is an AMAZING actor!

  • I have read the book, and as gross and pervert as it sounds i wanna look at the orgy in the movie.

  • This movie gave me a WTF-face for the rest of the day.. srsly wtf??

  • I've never been in love with a murderer on film before. I love this. Even tho it's kinda gross.

  • This movie is about 99.8% true to the book which is a rare thing. It's an awesome movie, awesome book and awesome soundtrack. Not since Lord of the Rings trilogy can you find these three things (book, movie, and music) amazing. I always recommend this movie and book.

  • where can i watch the whole movie? can you give the link please? thank you..

  • @emogirl239

    megavideo

    ? v = S N 1 4 A 6 X 0

  • love the book and the film is amazing aswell

  • I read the book when I was 15. It still gives me the chills. This clip just brought back all the memeories.

  • wowwwww intelligent baby....

  • This is one of the most amazing books I have ever read.... Truly beautiful.... And, as cruel as Zan-Batist was, who can say he was not a genius?

  • he's so different from other serial killers. he never hacked-up or sexually abused his victims. all he did was wrap them up in animal fat.

  • Can someone tell me where I can watch the full movie?

  • @remalia18 I think it was Grenouille who killed them...

  • dont get the ending...people praised him as angel when he put some of his perfume (made from young female virgins scent) and suddenly they stripped off their clothes? the movie doesnt make any sense at the end

  • @Xanthosis012 I havent seen the movie et, but in the book, all teh people on that field become so filled with love for Grenouille that they express it by ripping their clothes and making love to who ever is next to them.... Btw, that's where it ends?

  • @JennLonhon no, it ends when grenouillle went back to his birthplace at the fish market and see a group of hungry people sitting by the fire...he pour all of his perfume and the hungry people charged and ate him alive...its ridiculous

  • @Xanthosis012 Well, I do think it's a bit weird, even in the book, but.... There it's a pretty good scene.... Haven't seen the movie yet

  • @JennLonhon the whole thing was good...I'd give 8/10 but after seeing the ending, my rae drop to 5/10...if u read the book, I guess its actually a great movie for u to watch

  • what they think of next? oh lets get everyone blood to make gold! seriously bull shit.

  • someone explain to me the ending of this movie please. I think i got it wrong. what does those pple do to him at the end and he "dissapears" ?!

  • @WinterUltimate They eat him.

  • @Intranthil thanks! I got it right after all :P

  • is that Sneip? hahaha

  • i love this movie. exploring our imaginations are so cool. :) but so awful about the killings ..

  • @jozelle0606 is it scary?

  • @Lyndis95 oh yess! but totally worth seeing

  • it was.... kinda trying to be smarter than it actually ended up being. despite that, it was pretty entertaining

  • i love is movie a lot......................

  • the book has the same name of the film, it was written long before, in 1985, by an author called patrick suskind. the book is very good, very deep, but the film does nor betray the book. the film is great. the only difference is that in the book the end of the story is slightly different.

  • i think... i need to... go pray.

  • infallible i agree with you... but i must say... in this movie which i saw after reading the book, i almost felt that i was inside the book when watching the movie. excellent in my opinion.

  • @vagsancho Didn know it was a book how long was it?

  • Overall a very strange movie, but I liked it.

Grenouille felt severely autistic to me - an extreme sense (in his case smell), and obviously a severe lack of empathy. (I have autism myself, but only mildly...)

  • loved the book! must watch this. do they do the orgy/

  • @meettravis - Oh yes, they did.

  • ang baho

  • this trailer make the movie look dull.

  • AWESOME SToRy_Movie-ACTORS_AcTING !!!

  • the book..first, i read the book...the movie wasn´t out yet..then, i saw the movie..the movie is fine, it´s a good movie, but, the book is 1000 times better

  • @Fluviu22 so true...

  • which is better: the book or movie?

  • @Jrdec

    the book

  • Excelente trama y guión !!

  • this film is amazing watched it today loved it! :)

  • This movie was pretty good, the ending seemed a bit strnage though. It came from nowhere

    * WATCH OUT FOR YE SPOILERS OF DOOM*

people are giving thumbs down to comments which say the ending involves "porno" and "getting eaten" by the townspeople. I don't know why, because that IS what happens.....it's an odd kind of way to wrap up a movie like this.....but everything before that was pretty cool as far as murder movies go!

  • I'm making a book report for this, for sure

  • omg i so wanna see this movie now!

  • @Lauranapark Did you like?

  • i'm reading the book right now just so i can see this movie

  • I'm renting this soon, I just have to see it.

    The book was absolutely brilliant.

  • Rachel Hurd Wood gotta be the most gorgeous person I've ever seen in my hole life...

  • I wanna see this so badly, it's killing me

  • love the movie, and by far one of the best i have ever seen

  • this movie is good!!

  • Comment removed

  • yeppers and wanna guess how?ten bucks says you wouldnt get it!!!!! :D

  • to xmirkoxpowerx:

    Yes, he dies.

  • It really is good? it looks sort of odd but.....enticing o.o

  • have a sniff.

  • One of the best movies ever !! I ADORE IT.

  • cool film love it!!!

  • o.o the vid stopped at 0:57 cuz it stopped bufferein, and you cud actually see the tits 0.0

  • I haven't read the book but I thought the movie was just superb. No doubt I would not have been as impressed if I HAD read it as films usually never live up to the brilliance of a novel.

  • i read the book and i think that it is an interesting story!

  • that movie is realy realy good but its too very hard to understand

  • the movie was really well done, it potrayed Grenouille as how he would be in the book, never the less it is important to read the book first before watching the movie. Either is good. However if your not really a novel fan, the movie is good motivation for you to get started.

  • Beautiful movie, fantastic book; truly a modern masterpiece.

  • I agree.

  • 1:22 is severus snape from harry potter, right? I dont know his full name. I know him as greasy-hair. LOL

  • yeah, that's him. He's name is Alan Rickman

  • In my opinion, books are better than movies. Its like the secret garden, great movie, AMAZING book. I prefer the images in my head as I read, because it's more in-depth, more detailed. He's obsessed with the smell of virgins. The disgusting bit of the movie was when he sniffed the mango girl. :(

  • I completely agree with you. The book has an underlying theme that you can take with you allowing you to gain insight into human nature and the nature of earthly love. The movie fails to impart that to the public. It was made plainly to promote spectacle and to shock the viewer.

  • I saw the movie on a 52 inch screen, with surround sound - so that made the movie even better! The movie is based on a book, so as most people know, it is very difficult to bring a visual from the form of a book (the ending was probably really hard to represent - it's like trying to explain your dream to a friend). However, it was really well done and I like the fact that it wasn't casted with well known celebrity actors. Very visual.

  • Have read the book 3 times. One of my favourite pieces of literature ever. I' not impressed by the trailer, don't think I'll watch the film. I like the scenes as they appear in my head from reading the story.

Same with Clockwork Orange. The book far surpassed the movie. Though I guess it depends on how you interpret and visualise what you read. :)

  • the movie is enchanting... full of colour and smelly things..

dont worry it will interfere with your own visualizations of the book, it wont

i have read the book twice and still remember the thrill of first reading it, it will never go away (like with all good literature)

  • I rented that movie a couple nights ago, and it goes back tomorrow. i've watched it about three times, and i can't get enough. It's brilliant.

  • It was good, but wierd.. I only watched it, cuz it had Alan Rickman in it.

  • to: "mrshermionesnape":

Me too! I love Alan Rickman. I watched Sweeney Todd only because of Alan Rickman(and Johnny Depp). But I love Rachel Hurd-Wood too! Love all tree!!!<3

  • @millaindie I KNOWWW! I love all there movies always the distinguished characters!

  • @mrshermionesnape me too, Alan's the Best actor EVR!!!!!

  • omg!! did anyone post it on youtube?? i wanna see!

  • it's perfeeect.. loved it.

    yeah, it's rachel hurd-wood

  • that is one scary as hell lookin baby!

it looks so cool, how'd it get such bad reviews?

  • bloody hell it looks scary! i well wanna see it now lol. is it rachel hurd-wood?

  • love it, especcialy alan
