  • I remember the ComputerWorldTour '81 in sydney/capital theatre...the music was so loud the plaster from the ceiling came down [from the bass].

  • Star Trek had less buttons. Kraftwerk are superhumans

  • O melhor a nível mundial da música electónica

  • thanx for translation!

  • what does florian use in pocket calculator i know that ralf uses the beegees rythm machine and karl uses a sylophone and wolfgang made his on drum

  • Florian is playing a Casio FX 501B. Although on their tour 1981/ 82 they were offering a "Kraftwerk special edition of the Casio Vl-80" (incl. an instruction how to play the song "pocket calculator" on it) as a merchandise product..

  • How did florian get a e o and all those different sounds from a csio calculator??

  • what kind of keyboards are they using and what are those synthasisers called byhind kraftwerk because they use them at the start of the video 4 numbers

  • Behind them is their entire "Kling-Klang Studio" which has been on stage during Kraftwerk`s gigs (from 1981 - 1998, now they are using their Laptops and desks).

  • If they built all that partly themselves then they must have been very intelligent + how did they move all that equipment about

  • damn it, documentaries back then where much better...letting the musicians and their music speak themselves rather than trying to pump as much information as possible in 15 minutes. nowadays they would put a voice commentary over it and make a cut like every 10 seconds lol.

  • how did they get those number voices - i know ralf sang some

  • It´s mainly the "Speak `n Spell" toy by Texas Instruments

  • so that came in foreign languages it doesnt look like one in this vid

  • and without Karl and Wolfgang!!

  • In their best days they`ve rejected to support David Bowie and refused to cooperate with the really really really big names in music.

Now they are even opening up for a band like Radiohead.

Kraftwerk isn`t the same without Florian!!!

  • Florian at 05:38

    heheh :D

  • bka haben unsere daten klar. irgendwie haben die damals in die zukunft gesehen.

  • Too bad Florian leaved the band :(

  • I'm waiting for a motion picture of the life and times of KRAFTWERK...would be a great big hit!

  • man you got me withth that idea!!!! that would be so awesome.

  • Superb!

  • great music

  • their songs grow more up-to-date from day to day

  • Addin, dwa, trri...

  • zumindest fahren Heute schon Roboter mit Rattenhirnis rum (2008)

  • this song shakes my knees!!!

  • uno due tre quattro.....mitici....

  • Uno, due, tre, quattro

  • "One, Two!"

  • Thanks 4 posting this !!!

  • Kraftwerk is the epitome of what music really is. It's incredibly beautiful. It's the unique expression that makes REAL music. The melody and beat takes you for a ride and shows you another world which can feel uncomfortable for some.

  • uno dos tres cuatro!

  • Amen.

  • ♫♫♫♫♫♫ this is real music!!

  • The preset 'Dreamsynth' on native instruments FM7 is exactly the same as the sound they use to play the computer world riff and much of tour de fance soundtracks 2003. Its quality having that on my comp.

  • I saw them for the first time during this tour in Budapest, 15/08/1981. I was nearly 14... :) This opening was on of the most shocking on stage, I am sure. I saw them in 1991 and 2004, but the overture in 1981 definitely was the best.

  • Diese Wärme und Menschlichkeit, die immer spürbar ist - vielen Dank

  • kraftwerk is music

  • Kraftwerk mit uns

  • Some great insights there! Thanks for posting

  • this is a historical document, totally agree. I'll keep my copy of this I downloaded and show it to my kids, and they to their kids.

  • The fathers of synth pop!

Imagine, no Kraftwerk, no Depeche Mode :(

  • no Gary Numan, no Planet Rock...

  • Kraftwerk in the "Top 5" most important musical artists in terms of influence in the 20th century...this is a true historical document.

  • This is the bogs dollocks!

  • The ultimate TwenCen band.

    End of story.

  • Thanks very much for the translation!

  • i was in that concert and i played the florian's stuff !!!!! cool all was fake

  • Thanks for uploading this! I`m not a huge Kraftwerk Fan but I like some of their songs and appreciate them as artists. It was very interesting to learn that they found it difficult to make music in Germany.

  • Ralf Hütter has said something very informative about this point in the "Rock & Folk Magazine" 1976:

"The living culture of Central Europe was cut in the '30s, and all the intellectuals went to the U.S. or to France, or they were eliminated. We take back that culture of the '30s at the point where it was left, and this on a spiritual level..."

  • I have knocked on their Kling Klang studio door and tried the very same handle of it! Florian's wonderful green Mercedes from the seventies was parked on the yard at the same time and their was a white letter envolope between front seats with handwritten letters addressed to "Ralf & Florian". I have photos too. Can you beat this?

  • No, I can`t and,to be honest, I won`t! I think the fans should allow them their privacy and a productive working atmosphere. :-)

  • Well said. Kraftwerk are a group that dont rely on press coverage or dancing about like twats to make an impact. Long live Kling Klang.

  • cool, they let people touch the devices :)

  • great medley

  • check out the book i was a robot by wolfgang flur

    top read

  • Thanks alot for the translation

  • electronic music would be nothing without Kraftwerk!

    Nice! :-)

  • ***

    la llean, con cuática.

  • Fantastic!

  • Kraftwerk brings the whole stuff out from the studio...my God.... :-)

  • I was going to upload it, but you saved me the werk.

    Subtitles were a nice detail.

    Greetings.

  • Great job, thanks for posting this !

  • First time I've seen it with subtitles, thanks for doing that, nice werk man!
