Under the administracion of Gray Davis was created the California electricity crisis of 20002001 causing financial damage to the state . State's record $34.6 billion budget shortfall and growing unemployment.

He got elected and went to the voters with a series of (as I recall) OK propositions... which got roundly defeated. He switched course 180deg immediately after that. Up to the 1A-1F period... 1A-1F got crushed and now he's switching back. With the ability to pander like that, no wonder he succeeded in Hollywood. I'll take this for now though.
Now I clearly remember why I left California in disgust in 2001 after 18 years. it can be a nice place to live, but not at any price. The state government is grossly corrupt and can't seem to understand that when times are good, money should be saved for a rainy day. Naturally, every special interest is now screaming to raise taxes even higher. if it were me, I would refuse to pay a penny more...even if it meant jail. Enough is enough.

The majority of the services you outline require that first you accept 1) the moral idea that those being served have a valid claim to put another into servitude, by threat of force, for their benefit, 2) that the broader negative economic impacts of removing capital from production to consumption actually could work in the real world.
I would answer 1) that there is no morally justified claim to another's life. 2) that you cannot consume more than you produce.

Gov., RAISE the fxcking taxes and at least let my mom get her basic dental work done through MediCal. We make less than 2500 a month as a 19 year old full time working college student with a disabled mom and you closed the only clinic in our area, you won't even budget MediCal to throw us down some blood sugar test strips or pay for the dentist to pull a tooth, let alone fill it.

How much of these TV ads are coming out of the budget? Before talking squat about CA legislators not comprimising, realize this is a waste of taxpayers dollars. Along with the special election that was in May that tried raising taxes.

And just after that tried to pass a bunch of propositions to tax us even more, but we shot that down. Well taxing a MODERATE ammount would not be bad but Tabaco is largely taxed right now, the result is ton of Antismoking Campaigns that to me seem like a waste of money, i dont think anyone argues that Nicotine is not addictive. People forget why Arnold was elected on 2003 and was then re-elected on 2006...
Under the administracion of Gray Davis was created the California electricity crisis of 20002001 causing financial damage to the state . State's record $34.6 billion budget shortfall and growing unemployment.
Despite a Democratic majority in the California legislature, Arnold was doing good job until now. I can't wait to see another Democrat elected in the middle of this crisis in california and see what happen.

He's definitely being true to his governing style. He originally ran on a (for California) radical government reformation platform. He got elected and went to the voters with a series of (as I recall) OK propositions... which got roundly defeated. He switched course 180deg immediately after that. Up to the 1A-1F period... 1A-1F got crushed and now he's switching back. With the ability to pander like that, no wonder he succeeded in Hollywood. I'll take this for now though.

Now I clearly remember why I left California in disgust in 2001 after 18 years. it can be a nice place to live, but not at any price. The state government is grossly corrupt and can't seem to understand that when times are good, money should be saved for a rainy day. Naturally, every special interest is now screaming to raise taxes even higher. if it were me, I would refuse to pay a penny more...even if it meant jail. Enough is enough.

Have some backbone and do what is right for CA. Raise some taxes and cut some programs. Don't just cut programs -- that will not be enough. I am willing to pay more taxes as many here are. Education, health care, programs for the poor benefit us all in the long term.

I understand the outrage. The majority of the services you outline require that first you accept 1) the moral idea that those being served have a valid claim to put another into servitude, by threat of force, for their benefit, 2) that the broader negative economic impacts of removing capital from production to consumption actually could work in the real world.
I would answer 1) that there is no morally justified claim to another's life. 2) that you cannot consume more than you produce.

Gov., RAISE the fxcking taxes and at least let my mom get her basic dental work done through MediCal. We make less than 2500 a month as a 19 year old full time working college student with a disabled mom and you closed the only clinic in our area, you won't even budget MediCal to throw us down some blood sugar test strips or pay for the dentist to pull a tooth, let alone fill it.
