There is a second different waltz played near the end of the film, during an actual "waltz". Although it was somewhat trunicated it was every bit the equal of this number. I'm sure that's another David Arnold composition that has no name as well.
This is one of my favorite songs ever. Thanks for the upload! The idea that it's used in the Corpse Bride trailer is unimportant because trailers use music from whatever is available, whether or not it's actually used in the movie.
Also, can you tell me where this one was recorded?
I'm looking for a similar waltz for my short film. Any suggestions? I love the "creepy" yet "classic" style of David Arnold's waltz. Perhaps something by Tchaikovsky or Debussy? Any suggestions?
This is absolutely beautiful...and very haunting...it really does bring to mind Strauss or even Tchaikovsky. Brillant writing from David Arnold. It seems he's not unlike John Barry: They can be used for more than just James Bond. :) I love it!
Wow, thanks. Isn't this the one from the dance at the ball? The vienna waltz looks so amazing when a whole room of people dance in sync. Love it, reminds me of Strauss.
Honestly, I've always been impressed with Arnold's work, 007, ID4, even The Musketeer (check that out, if you haven't) but this beats all! Absolutely gorgeous...and so outside his usual...thanks for posting this music! :)
It was one the trailer for the corpse bride, and that is why everyone confuses Danny Elfman for writing it, when it was originally composed by David Arnold.
Ah I love this. Its beautiful.

Try listening to some stuff by Danny Elfman or Hans Zimmer. You are bound to find something.
BradyAbrams 2 years ago 2
@FrauleinSlim Are you familiar with Khachaturian's Waltz from his Masquerade Suite? OR Shostakovich's Waltz from his Jazz Suite No. 2? They're GREAT!

wasn't this song already in the first SW? From 1975? isn't this just a new version? I think it is, don't think David Arnold composed it.....
Esperanca91 3 years ago
As far as I know it was composed by David Arnold for this film, but was never released on the soundtrack.
