You know what I loved best? The entrance. With all the torches and the huge circle of Hylian incantations written on the ground? I loved that place~ It was so mysterious, and quiet too - all you could hear was the rain outside. It looked like someone insanely dedicated to the Shadow Temple had made that to guard the people from it. Or someone who had seen the horrors inside and wanted to seal it all away, mentally broken by what they had witnessed...

I somehow glitched to this temple on accident... As an adult it was my second temple i beat... As soon as i walked in and throughout the temple this song sent tickly chills down my neck. Wasnt hard to beat tho =}

Gosh i remember playing this back in 98 when i was about 10. I've played some other Zelda games on the Wii and DS but thought that this one, given its time, was the best. Too bad they never made a soundtrack cd for this, it would've been great. Although my favorite piece is Kakariko Village, this one definitely suits the shadow temple

when I was little I never wanted to enter the temple at night. When it was like 10 pm I was scared to play zelda. But honestly some things are far to creepy for kids especially the shadow temple. The grim reaper when you go farther into the temple is fuckin creepy haha.

i stopped playing oot for a while cuz i was scared of this temple (actually my controller was confiscated) but i over came the fear and went in. when navi told me about the wallmasters (she's useful someimes) i quickly saved and quit. wallmasters and floormasters are creepy, but dead hands, gibdos, and redeads aren't. one beamos is scary, but five wolfos aren't. i was more scared of the forest temple than the shadow temple. and forest temple music was nagging me, just like city in the sky music.

Favourite temple for sure. They could've done a little bit better on the music, though. It sounds more like random scary sounds mixed up together. They could've done a melody like The Forest Temple and mixed that up with those sounds, then it would've been more like music. But the temple itself is great, I love everything about it. The traps and everything. Except the one and only thing... Redeads.

This dungeon is a masterpiece within a masterpiece itself. This game (to this very day) remains my favorite game of all time. The sense of adventure it brought my brothers and me, along with flawless game play, (at the time) impressive graphics, and the overwhelming creativity and genius incorporated into the game itself.. I think it's safe to say Zelda was the staple of my childhood as far as video games go, lol.
